I am 35 weeks today! I've started having some pain lately and it is getting pretty difficult to move around. Every morning Stephen asks if I am ok. He says I moan and groan all night whenever I move.
I had a doctors appointment yesterday. She said my pain was the baby being so low and hitting a nerve and I am probably also having some contractions. Stephen gets very worried when I am in any sort of pain so after I told the doctor about it all she said "Good!". Stephen repeated, "GOOD?". She laughed and said that it is all normal and it probably just means this baby is going to come closer to 37 weeks than 40. Well that was music to my ears! 5 more weeks seems so far away. But 2 weeks seems so close. I can't believe he could be here in 2 weeks! Either way, I just want him to keep growing until he is ready. I can do 5 more weeks if I have to! Although I don't really have much of a choice either- ha! The doctor checked my cervix and said his head is fully engaged, but I am not effaced or dialted yet.

Swimming
We went swimming this afternoon over at Steve and Nancy's. Sadie, who is normally scared of the pool, stepped right onto the first step and layed down. She wouldn't go any father than that, but it was funny how quickly she got in considering every other time at the pool she is very hesitant about the water.

Stephen was avoiding the camera, but I got a quick one of him!

The water felt so wonderful to me! I could live in the pool right now!

34 Weeks
I am 34 weeks today!
I had a doctors appointment today that went well. She measured me and said he is still measuring in the 70th percentile, which means he should be in the 8 pound range at birth. I was relived to hear that. I was thinking he would be more like 9-10 pounds. But we still have lots of time, so things could change! I start going every week now.

Fathers Day
I didn't take any pictures on Fathers Day. I just don't have the energy for pictures right now, but I need to get better at it because I miss having pictures of everything. I love pictures of even just little stuff we do.
We celebrated Father's Day with my Dad and Papaw last Saturday night after the shower. We had dinner at Mom and Dad's and then played Cranuim. It was a fun night!
On Father's Day we got up and I gave Stephen his present, Sperry's and a card. I think Stephen is going to be an amazing Dad to our kids! I can't wait to see him hold Stephen III.
We met Jim and Annette for brunch at Grand Lux and had an amazing meal! It was so good. We had a lot of fun visiting with them!
After brunch we had a few errands to run so we did that and then headed to Clear Lake to see Steve.
Everyone came over and we hung out for a while and then Mike smoked shrimp wrapped in bacon. It was soooooo good! The boys were swimming, so Shelley, Steve and I joined them. The pool feels so good to me right now! I wish we had one in our backyard!
It was a great Father's Day. We are so blessed to have great such Dad's in our lives!

33 Weeks
I am 33 weeks today! Most weeks I can't believe I am already so far along, but this week I feel like I should be having this baby any day, but I still have 7 weeks to go! I'm not sure how I will make it! I really have enjoyed being pregnant, but I am also ready to feel normal again. I really try not to complain and just be blessed that I am pregnant and have been able to carry him this long. I would rather deal with all of this discomfort than have him come early! So keep growing baby boy, even if momma does complain!

Family Night and Fathers Day
After the baby shower Saturday, we went out to Mom and Dad's house to have family night and celebrate Fathers Day since Mamaw and Papaw were in town. We had a lot of fun and it was great getting to spend time with everyone.
Mom got a honey ham for dinner and we had beans and potato salad with it. Then we had petit fours left over from the shower with ice cream for dessert.
Dad got a new guitar for Fathers Day!

Then we all played Cranium.

It was girls against boys and the girls won, of course!!
We had such a fun night! I'm so glad we got to spend some time with Mamaw and Papaw!

Baby Shower
We had our baby shower Saturday! Nancy and Shelley hosted it for us and everything was just wonderful! We were blessed with so many cute and wonderful things for Stephen!

Jan made these wonderful soaps and chocolates for everyone to take.

Jan also made this adorable diaper cake! It was huge!

There was so much great food, but this is the only picture I got. We had spinach dip, sutffed mushrooms, chicken salad, tuna salad, fruit, and so much more!

The petit fours were so cute and they tasted so good!

I love Stephen's baby book.

After visiting and eating, we opened all of our great presents. We got so many wonderful things!
I don't know what was so funny in this picture.

Courtney and April were great helps! April got all the presents for me and Courtney wrote everything down.

I love this robe Rosyln got him! Of course it is from the best baby store ever, Baby Once! I can't wait to wrap him up in it.

Mom and Dad got him his first ipod and of course the Sound of Music Soundtrack.

I absolutely adore this bib and john john Vickie had made for Stephen. I love anything monogrammed or with his name on it!

We got lots of big things too, our playpen, monitor, breastpump, glider, car seat, etc.

His first pair of Trumpettes!

Gail made this adorable sign! I can't wait to hang it up!

Of course we got so many more wonderful things. We are so blessed with very generous family and friends. Thank you all so much!
I love these girls!

Stephen and his Dad went to lunch with Uncle BJ and Goodgion, but got to the shower as I was opening the last of our gifts. I was happy he got to be there for part of it.

The wonderful hosts!

Let's try that again.

My Mom and I

I really can't thank everyone enough for this wonderful day! Nancy and Shelley did such a great job and really went above and beyond to make it the perfect day for us! They had lots of help too. Jan and Mary helped then set up the morning of the shower. Many people came from out of town, but even the ones who live here had to drive quite a ways, so I really appreciate all the effort everyone made. And thank you again to everyone for all our wonderful things!

Astros Game
Friday night Stephen got tickets to the Astros game and they were in the Diamond Club. This is the small section right behind home plate where Drayton McLane sits. We were so excited! We had three tickets, so Aaron Hogue went with us. They were playing the Braves and ended up losing, but we still had a great time!

32 Weeks
I am 32 weeks today! Even though I feel huge and doing normal things is getting more and more difficult, I am so thankful I have carried Stephen this far and hope he keeps growing!

How Far Along: 32 weeks
Size of baby: The size of jicama (I have no clue). But it also says the baby should be weighing 3 and 3/4 pounds and Stephen weighs 4 pounds 11 ounces right now. No wonder I feel huge!!!
Total Weight Gain/Loss: Gained 5 pounds
Maternity Clothes: I only wear maternity clothes now.
Gender: BOY!!! Stephen Earl Prather III
Movement: I feel him move a lot. At night I will lay on my right side and Stephen will put his hand on my left side and the baby will start kicking. We found out at the ultrasound yesterday that his feet are right there.
Sleep: Other than getting up 2-6 times a night to go to the restroom, I sleep great!
What I miss: Being able to do normal things without getting so tired and sore. This weekend we did so much and I really overdid it.
Cravings: Nothing really
Symptoms: Heartburn, heartburn, heartburn- it has gotten really bad! They say that if you have bad heartburn, the baby has lots of hair. At our ultrasound yesterday, the technician said he has lots of hair, so I guess it's true!
Best Moment this week: Getting the nursery put together.

32 Week Ultrasound
We had an ultrasound today and got to see our baby boy! It was so wonderful to see him, but even better to find out that he is still perfect. He weighs 4 pounds and 11 ounces right now!
Here is his sweet face! I cried when I saw this. I think he is just precious!

Another shot of his face:

Here is a profile shot. You can see one hand up by his face. Both hands were up by his face pretty much the whole time until the end when we decided to stretch his legs by nearly kicking himself in the face!

The ultrasound technician said he had lots of hair. No wonder I've been having such bad heartburn.

Still a boy!

Cute little feet that like to kick Mommy!

We may have a future gymnast on our hands. His foot is right above his nose!

Then we got to see some in 3D, which were amazing!

Stephen thinks he has my nose and I think he has my cubby cheeks! We both think he is just adorable and can't wait to meet him!
