Olivia Rachael
Adam and Jess had their beautiful daughter, Olivia Rachael, on January 17, 2012. She weighed 7 pounds 2 ounces and was 19.5 inches long.

We went over to their house Sunday, Jan. 29 to meet Olivia. She was sleeping when we got there. Isn't she precious?

Jess said she was a drama queen when she was waking up and we got to see that first hand!
Big yawn!
Poor thing!
Livi wasn't thrilled to be having her picture taken with Stephen. Stephen was wondering what the heck was going on. I hope these two become good friends one day!
Stephen was so good at their house, despite missing a nap. He just took everything in. He loved watching their little dogs and cats.
Pictures from the weekend!
*This post is referring to Fri 1/27-Sun 1/29. I'm a little behind in my blogging, but getting caught up.
I snapped these pictures Friday afternoon of Stephen and Hayden playing.

Aren't these BabyLegs so fun! Thanks Aunt Linette for all of our Baby Once goodies!
Friday night I was trying out my external flash. I wasn't thrilled with it. I much prefer natural light.
Stephen didn't like it either!
We did a little photoshoot before his morning nap.

Stephen had to work Saturday so we just hung out at home. He brought home dinner and we had a relaxing night together.
Sunday we got to meet the Adam and Jessica's beautiful new daughter, Olivia Rachael. I will post all of those pictures in it's own entry, but here is one.
After we left Adam and Jessica's house we went by Annette and Jim's so they could see Stephen.
Then we headed home and relaxed the rest of the night! It was a great weekend!

6 Months
Stephen is 6 months old! It seems like the past 6 months have flown by and yet we really have enjoyed each and every day. I can't even remember life without him anymore. What did we do, talk about, etc?

*He weighs 19 pounds (85%) and is 27 inches long (87%). I don't know his head circumference, but it is in the 97%. Boy has always had a big head. There is an upside to having a c section- haha!
*He wears a wide range of sizes right now. Some 3-6 month onesies still fit. He also wears 6-9 month and 6-12 month stuff too.
* He drinks 6 ounces of formula 5 times a day.
* We started solids this month. So far he has had oatmeal, avocado, carrots and butternut squash. He loves them all! He eats one ounce of solids, three times a day. I make all of his food and love it!
*We are still using cloth diapers and loving it!
*He is getting more hair everyday.
*He has the most beautiful blue eyes ever! I hope they never change!
*He is cutting 2 teeth right now! They don't seem to bother him. He drools like crazy, but isn't ever fussy.

*He now sleeps on his stomach and sleeps from 8pm to 7am! This thrills mommy and daddy! 6 months ago I never thought this day would come!
* He takes 2 naps for about an hour and a half to 2 hours each day plus a little catnap in the evening.
* He still loves to be held, but is a little squirmer. When you are holding him, he reaches for everything, but doesn't always want to grab it. He will be reaching for something so I will let him get close and he will just pat it. It is so cute! He does like to grab a lot of things though and we all know right where they go. In his mouth!
* He is kind of over the pacifier. He will suck on it while I rock him at night, but as soon as I lay him down in his crib, he takes the paci out and plays with it.
*He still loves his bath! He splashes a lot and just loves it!
* He rolls over a ton.
*He just started sitting up on his own. Each day he gets better and better at this. Last night he was a little unsure and kept reaching out for me, but today I sat him down to take pictures and he did wonderful! He sat there for so long and was so confident!
* He is still the happiest, best baby! Everyone that is around him tells us this and we agree. He is such a good baby!

Happy 6 month birthday Stephen! Being your mom is the most rewarding job ever! I love you more than you will ever know!
Here are some outtakes from our photoshoot today. He is a drooling monster these days. Then he will start blowing raspberries and the drool really gets going! Once he has started the raspberries, there is no stopping- haha!!

I love this next picture! "What mom? It's just a little drool?"

Stephen and Daddy
Stephen may be a momma's boy about some things, but he ADORES his daddy! When Stephen walks in from work at night, he smiles and just laughs all night until bedtime. Stephen will do something that is not really funny, like sneezing, and Stephen will crack up. If I try to do the same thing, he looks at me like I'm crazy! Some days he will try and "talk" to daddy and tell him about his day. It is so cute. Stephen is such a good dad, it is easy to see why his little boy loves him so much! Here are some pictures and videos of the two of them.

Mom's Birthday
Mom's birthday was Saturday, the 21st, but Aaron and Mom were working so we decided to celebrate Sunday. We had such a wonderful day together!
We started out at Sky Zone. It is full of trampolines. You can jump on regular trampolines and they also have a section with a basketball goal, a dodgeball court, a ball pit and a section for the really little kids. My dad was an awesome photographer for us while we all jumped. He took all of the pictures from Sky Zone. And mom took care of Stephen while we jumped.

Aaron was a little more adventurous than the rest of us. He would jump off the walls and do flips!
After jumping for quite some time we went over to the ball pIt. It was fun, but getting out was not so fun- haha!
We had just a little time left (you buy tickets based on how long you want to jump, we chose the shortest amount of time, 30 minutes, and it was plenty!) so we went back and jumped a little more.
Stephen was avoiding the camera all day (who can blame him, jumping shots really aren't the most flattering unless you weigh 100 pounds like Aaron and Jessica), but my dad finally got a few.
Jessica got a little more adventurous towards the end and jumped off the wall some.
We had so much fun here! We can't wait to go back! I can't wait for Stephen to be old enough to do fun stuff like this!
We headed back to our house to celebrate some more. We had a great BBQ lunch and then opened presents, played yatzee and just hung out together.
Stephen loves Aunt Jessi!
Uncle Aaron fed Stephen avacado for lunch.
He loved it so much he wanted to lick the bowl!
Aaron won yatzee after he got 2 yatzee's!
Stephen took a short nap while we were eating and playing, but didn't want to miss the party!
