Sunday morning, Stephen let me sleep in so he got up with Stephen and they were playing in the game room. Stephen wanted to come downstairs and get his new ball we bought the day before. He was supposed to get the ball and go back upstairs, but he came and woke me up. He ran to tell Daddy that he woke me up and Stephen said to him, "that wasn't nice to wake Mommy up" and Stephen responded with, "yes, nice". Stephen said "no, not nice" to which Stephen replied "yes nice". Too funny!
Stephen is working back in sales so his schedule has changed. He will have to work every Saturday which is hard, but his schedule during the week is SO much better for us! We see him a lot more and it is great! Two days a week he goes into work late, so he waits to take Stephen to school until later so they can spend some time together.
For about a week, Stephen's favorite word was "ouch". He would say ouch about everything. One morning I laid him down to change his diaper and he said ouch. I said, "what's wrong". He then told me (by pointing a adding a few words here and there), that the couch was hurting him. Ummmmmm, ok. He then proceeded to scold the couch for hurting him.
Nancy and I (temporarily) traded cars because it was easier for Steve to get in my car. Her backseat is folded down and she has bucket seats in the back so Stephen quickly realized he could crawl back to the back. Stephen let him get out from the very back one day and that started a whole new thing. He now loves to get in and out of her car from the very back. When he gets in he knows how to push the button to close the door and then waves to us and says bye-bye and goes to his seat. It's too cute!
He has also started calling Nancy Mimi. Her name is Memaw, which he can say, but he insists it is Mimi. And he is going to be very sad when we have to give Mimi's car back and get Mommy's car. It's not nearly as fun!
When Stephen comes home from work, Stephen runs to the door the minute he hears it open to greet Daddy. After he hugs Daddy he comes and finds me and tells me in the most excited voice, "Mama, Dada home!". So I say, "Daddy's home?" as if I don't know and he replies with "YES". It's so cute!
