I guess it's time to get caught up with blogging. This pregnancy is wearing me out and at night I just don't have the energy for one more thing. Plus, I used to blog on our laptop at night, but my expanding belly is making it hard to put the laptop in my lap and use.
July 4th weekend I was off on Friday, but Stephen had to work Friday and Saturday. I decided to take Stephen out to my parents house so we could spend the weekend with them! We didn't do much on Friday, just hung out and played and relaxed.
Saturday was July 4th and we had a pretty relaxing day. After dinner we headed out to go see fireworks in Tomball. I wanted to take a picture of Stephen before we left.
Getting him to look at me and smile is a feat!
My Dad got behind me and starting making funny faces at Stephen to get him to smile. Instead of smiling, he just starting copying what Papa was doing.
It was so humid, my camera lens was fogging up.
I think those pictures are sooooo cute!
We wanted to get a good spot to watch fireworks, so we got there about 2 1/2 hours early and just hung out.
We had snacks and Stephen played with his cars.
Every time I tried to take a picture of him he would take a bite.
I wasn't sure what Stephen would think about the fireworks since he had never seen any big ones like this before. Aunt Linette had given us these head phones so I brought them in case the fireworks were too loud for him. Before they started he wanted to wear them. He and Papa wear testing them to see how well they worked. They definitely muffled the sound, but he could still hear us talking to him.
Time for fireworks!!
Stephen got off work early and was able to be there with us!
Stephen loved the fireworks and wasn't scared of them at all! He didn't even need his ear phones.
The fireworks show was great. It lasted a long time, over 30 minutes, and Stephen got really ansy and was ready to go home after about 10 minutes. It was really late and we had been there a long time.
We had a great Fourth of July!
