4 years ago today I was feeling much better than I am today! I have a sinus infection and bronchitis- no fun! I am glad we got away last week to celebrate, but I still wanted to celebrate a little today. Stephen is getting off work early and going to bring Pappasitos home for dinner. We will eat dinner and watch the Olympics. Exciting, I know!
I am so grateful for my husband! I am so happy to be his wife and while everyday isn't always great and this year has been hard for us, we are getting through all of this together. He is my best friend and means the world to me. I am so glad I have him to lean on, he is my rock!
Stephen,
Thank you for saying "I do" four years ago. It was a new beginning for us and the past 4 years have been full of ups and downs. There is no one in the world I would rather spend my life with. Even in the hard times, I am glad it is you I have by my side. I love to see you care so much for Sadie and can't wait to see you care for our children. You are going to be a great dad to them. I can't wait to see what the rest of our lives brings and I can't wait to share it all with you! I love you!
Yours always,
Lisa

The last day
Wednesday morning, February 17, 2010
Wednesday after breakfast, we walked around the property a little and took some more pictures. It was freezing cold outside otherwise it would have been nice to sit outside for a while taking in the beautiful day.

Stephen and I were sitting on this swing and he said "Let me take your picture". It was such a rare moment because he never offers to take a picture of me.

There were so many large bunches of cactus.

The lake was so smooth in the mornings. Two ducks swann by as we were sitting there and they were so beautiful gliding across the still water, barely making a ripple.

The long drive home
Wednesday afternoon, February 17, 2010
We checked out around 10:30 from the Inn and headed home. It was very bittersweet. We had such a wonderful time, but really were ready to get back home and see our sweet Sadie girl!
We drove through Glenrose on the way home and I saw this neat sign painted on a wall in the square.

The river that runs through Glenrose.

I wanted to drive through College Station on our way home and see how things have changed. I have heard about this new huge Aggie ring statue. It is so neat and is HUGE!

They have these signs up around the new ring with quotes from Aggies. I liked this one best!

We drove by the Callaway house. So many memories here.

The famous Kyle Field.

It was such a gorgeous day to be taking pictures. So much has changed in five years since i graduated (wow, five years- I feel old). They are building so many big, beautiful buildings. But the construction was everywhere on campus and was a little annoying.

A day of relaxation
Tuesday, February 16, 2010

It was so cold on the square and poor Stephen forgot his jacket. We had a light lunch on the square and then headed back to the Inn. I immediately changed into warm PJ's and we layed in bed to watch the Olympics. It wasn't long before I was alseep. I took about a two and a half hour nap- WOW! And Stephen fell asleep for an hour and a half. We never take naps! It was nice.
We got up and went to have wine and horderves at the main house. It was fun to meet other couples that were staying at the Inn. We met a couple from Witchita Falls and another from Dallas. It was fun to talk with them.

Tuesday was a wonderful day of relaxation for us. We started out with a wonderful breakfast. The breakfast at the Inn was absolutely wonderful!
This is Stephen on our balcony before heading out to go shopping.
The square.

We then headed off to dinner, but first we took a few pictures.
We had dinner at Babe's. It specializes in chicken and didn't have a menu. We split a chicken fried steak and then had vergetables and biscuits. This was not a good day for my diet. The good part is that I couldn't eat much without getting very full.

Once we got home, I took some pictures on the balcony. This is the pool, main house, and dining room.
Inn on Lake Granbury
Monday Feb 15, 2010
Monday morning we went down and had breakfast at the hotel. Stephen needed to get a haircut, so I wen to workout at the hotel gym while we got his haricut.
We couldn't check into the Inn until 3pm, so we decided to drive around Dallas a little before heading out to Granbury. We drove by the new Cowboys Stadium. It was impressive.

The parking lots each had a sign with a players picture.

Once we got to Granbury, we were still a little early so we drove out to Pecan Plantation where Mama Lil and Jim used to live. At first we couldn't get past the security guard, but Mom called the current owners of Mama Lil and Jim's house and they called the gate so we could get in.
The house looks different. It brought back a lot of memories and made me miss the days we spent here. I remember the times at this house the most of any with my grandparents. These were some wonderful times. The house is looks good, but I can't help think that Mama Lil would have it looking so much better.

We finally made our way to the Inn on Lake Granbury and got checked in.

They walked us out to our suite and gave us a tour.

This bed was heavenly! It had a huge feather topper on it that you just sunk into. We slept so great here!

The bathroom was amazing! The shower had body jets, a rain shower head and a moveable shower head. Plus it had a steam option. I loved the steam! It made my lungs open up and my skin softer.

The tub was great also. It had 4 different sets of jets and a fireplace. It was wonderful! The floor in the bathroom was the best part. It was heated! It felt so good to wake up in the morning and feel warmth under my feet instead of a cold tile floor. This bathroom spoiled me. I want a bathroom just like this!

This is the patio. It had such a wonderful view, I wish it was warmer outside so we could have enjoyed it.

This was the view from our patio.

After getting settled, we went to the main house for wine and horderves and met two other couples. Then we went out for dinner at Miyako.

First was the beating fried rice heart and then came the onion volccano.

We met a neat family at dinner. The couple had just returned from vacation and met her parents in Grandbury to pick up their daughter. It was fun having dinner with them.

The view at night from our patio.

I took a bath with the fireplace going.

And that was the end of our evening :)!

Valentine's Day
Day One of our Anniversary Trip: Sunday, Feb.14, 2010
We left Sunday afternoon and dropped Sadie off at the Lodge then headed to Dallas. We got into Dallas around 5 and checked into our hotel. We then went to dinner at Cuba Libre. It is a fun restaurant known for it's frozen Cuba Libre's ( rum and coke with lime) and their tacos. Stephen had a frozen Cuba Libre and I had a Pomegranite Margarita. Both were very good. After about half of his drink, Stephen couldn't drink much more. He said it was very strong- and Stephen can drink. For dinner, Stephen had quesadillas and I had chicken tacos. The food was very good.

After dinner we had planned on seeing the movie "Valentines Day", but had a while before the movie started. So we decided to drive through the SMU campus. It was dark so it was hard to see alot of it, but the lights made the campus light up beautifully.
We then made it to the movie. It was a cute, fun movie to see on Valentines Day!
We made it back to the hotel, watched some of the Olympics and went to bed.
