5 Months

Stephen is 5 months old!









These pictures capture exactly who he is right now. Happy, drooling and spit up stains on his shirt- haha!!

*He can wear 3-6 month clothes, but some are a little tight. It is mainly in the length. He wears some 9 month and some 6-12 month stuff too.

* We had to start formula this month. My supply got so low that I was barely pumping anything despite trying everything I could think of. I was so sad to have to start formula, but he adjusted so well to it. He eats 6 ounces every 3 hours.

*We are still using cloth diapers and loving it!

*Your hair started growing back this month.

*He started rolling over in his sleep this month. He wakes up in the middle of the night and cries when he rolls over. He has a hard time going back to sleep after that so we have been holding him and sleeping the rest of the night.

* He is still swaddled for his naps and sleeps in his woombie. He is getting a little big for both of these though so we are going to have to start weaning him soon. I am not looking forward to this!

* He still loves to be held and we love to hold him!

* He only takes his pacifier when he is going to sleep. Sometimes he will suck on it a while and other times he spits it out soon after he falls asleep.

*He still loves his bath! He splashes a lot and just loves it!

* He is a master at rolling over.

* He is still the happiest, best baby! The only time he is fussy is when he is hungry or really tired. Other than that he is always happy.

You mean the world to us baby boy! Happy 5 month birthday!

5 Generations

Today was a very special day. We drove to Dallas to see my great grandma and let her meet her great great grandson.

It was a cold morning so I put Stephen's football hat on him. Isn't this the cutest thing you have ever seen?

It was a long drive, but Stephen did so good! We made one stop and other than a little fussing right before we got to Dallas, he slept most of the way.

I think he loved his big new carseat my mom got!

Mamaw Gregory was so happy to see us! She has been waiting so long to meet her great great grandson and she loved every second with him!

Mamaw Gregory is 99 years old. She is the first generation, followed by Mamaw, my Dad, me and Stephen.







We had lunch and visited for a few hours and then headed back home. It was such a great day!

Baby's First Christmas

This year was Stephen's first Christmas and what a Christmas it was! I am warning you now, this post has lots and lots of pictures, so get ready!

I got Stephen two ornaments this year and I love both of them. I got this one at the Nutcracker Market and on the back it says Stephen 2011.

This one looks much better in person. I couldn't get it to photograph well no matter what I tried. I ordered it online and love it as well! It says Stephen's First Christmas 2011.

Ok, now on to Christmas day. We woke up early and fed Stephen and all got dressed and out the door. Stephen and I had exchanged gifts the night before and packed (the whole house- ha!) so everything was ready to go in the morning. When we got over to Steve and Nancy's, Stephen and his dad went and got breakfast and then we all opened presents. Stephen got the cutest rocking chair. It's an airplane! He also got lots of noise makers, thanks to Papaw! Most of them say 2 years and up though so we may just have a garage sale by the time he's two! Just kidding, Steve! We will love all the noise the little boy makes!

Nancy really wanted an iPad and she got one!! (I hope you don't mind these pictures Nancy, I think they are great, but I know you don't like your picture taken so if you want me to take them down, I will)

She was so happy!

Look who else got an iPad.

They got each other iPads and obviously didn't know it! So funny!

Taylor and Cameron had come over earlier, but were waiting on their parents before they opened their presents. Shelley and Mike finally got there and they all opened their presents.

Cameron got a crock pot! He was so excited!

Just kidding! Both boys got an iPod touch. While they were both excited, here is the difference in how they showed it.

We left their house before anyone else came over and headed over to my parents. My grandparents came in to town for Christmas and it was great having them there with us. We all opened more presents and got lots of great stuff! My grandma had sent money to me for Stephen, so I got him this chair from Pottery Barn. We brought it over so they could see it. I think it is so cute!!

I didn't take many pictures while we opened presents, but did get this one of my mom and her new purse.

This was another present for my mom, from my dad. Nice wrapping job, Dad! We were all impressed that he even attempted to wrap it!

It was a carseat for Stephen. My mom wanted to have her own carseat for him.

We just hung out for a while.

And then it was time for a nap!

Aaron and Jessica had spent the weekend in Dallas with her family and came over a little late. But it was great to see them and spend a little time with them.

It was a super busy, but fun day!

Later in the week we had Christmas with the Magruder's. Alisa, Terry, Madison and Zach came and we all had a great night together. We don't see all of them nearly enough!

We had a great dinner and then opened presents and hung out some.

Stephen kept staring at Madison's headband and she was a good sport and let him reach for it. He got a good hold of her hair!

Poor Madison!

We had a great Christmas with all of our families this year! It is hard traveling all over with a baby, but worth it to be with our families. I think next year we will have Christmas at our house and everyone can come to us!!
