A hard week

* This post refers to the week of Monday May 21st- Friday May 25th*

This was a hard week for me.   Being a working mom is hard sometimes.  Stephen helps a lot around the house and with the baby, which is so wonderful, but he still works a lot and the household duties all fall on me most of the time.  Trying to maintain a household, cook, spend quality time with my son, spend quality time with my husband, and work 40 hours a week is hard.  And some weeks I just get overwhelmed!  Some weeks I just miss my baby and want to be with him all the time and not upstairs working.  But, I know that working is what is best for our family right now and it's a decision that Stephen and I made together.  Everything will be ok, it's just hard sometimes.

So, this week I only got my big camera out once and it was for bath time and the pictures are horrible!!  So here are some camera pictures and some bad bath time pictures.

We were playing up in the game room one night and Stephen crawled over to his chair.  I thought, "awwwww that is so cute, he is going to go sit in his chair".  So I got my phone and started snapping pictures.   These next 3 pictures were all taken in maybe a 30 second time span.

You can probably guess what happened after that last picture and why there are no further pictures of him sitting nicely in the chair posing for me.  Yep, he flipped right over.  Thank goodness that side table is further away in person than it looks in this picture.   Even though he fell over onto his face, he wasn't hurt at all, I think it just scared him.  But nothing gets this tough boy down for long.  He was back up and playing in no time.

He was interested in his bouncer so I put him in it.  He looks so huge!

He played with the balls for a minute and then was over it!

You may notice the brush he has in his hand in every single photo above.  He found it somewhere and would not let it go.  Some days you just let them chew on the hair brush if that's what they want, you know?  This was definitely one of those days.

Most of the photos on my iPhone look like this.  This boy hardly ever sits still.

The "awesome" bath time pictures.

He wants to stand up on the side of the tub or play with the drain or faucet, forget all the toys!

I don't know how he got those scratches on his chin and don't think I even noticed them in person.

I think I should have titled this post "Mother of the Year".  Because that is clearly what I was this week.

Here's hoping for a better weekend!

*Edited to add: After I posted this Stephen told me that the bath tub pictures were super cute and that I was crazy.  I meant that they were bad only because the color is crazy, they are a little blurry and my poor baby's face is scratched up and I don't know what happened.  Other than that, I think they are adorable!*
