Tailgating and Texans!

We went to the Texans game on Sunday and the guys decided we should tailgate before we game.  So, we were at the stadium bright and early at 7:45 AM!!!  Ugh, it was so early!  We got our area set up and actually had a really good time.











It was a little chilly and overcast and started sprinkling on us as we were walking into the game.  We were just thankful it didn't rain while we were tailgating!



There were 12 of us, so to get seats all together, we had to be pretty high up.  It was quite the trek up there, but the seats were surprisingly good, even though we were close to the top!  And we were right on the 50 yard line which was nice!

We let the guys sit together so they could actually talk about the game and fantasy football and all that stuff.



It was such a great game!  The Texans won and are now 4-0!!  It is an exciting time for the franchise and the fans!!

Nancy and Mary's Birthdays and Date Night

Stephen spent the weekend at my parents house so Friday night after dropping him off, Stephen and I went to dinner at Maggianos.  The food was great and the company even better!  We had a great night together!



My dad text us this picture and said, it may look like a pumpkin, but someone thinks it's a ball.



All week I had been looking forward to sleeping in on Saturday and guess who was up at 7:30?  ME!!!  I haven't been feeling well though, so I think that is why I woke up.  I moved to the chair so my head could drain some.  Stephen wasn't supposed to work, but it was the last day of the month and despite having all of his stuff taken care of, his boss still expected him to come in.  So, he went to work.   After a while I got up and ran some errands and then came back home to get ready to go out to eat for Nancy and Mary's birthdays.

We all met for Mexican food and then went back to their house for cake and presents.  Izabella had the cutest Texans romper on.  She was adorable!


Meanwhile, Stephen was having a blast with Papa G and Gran E.   Here are some pictures my mom sent me:

Suitcase

Stephen is going to Gran E and Papa G's house for the weekend, so Thursday night I got his suitcase out to start packing.  He loved playing with it and wheeled it all over the house and then would stop and put the handle back in.  He had too much fun with it!

Rocking Chair

Stephen loves his rocking chair from Aunt Linette!  He loves to climb in and out of in and rock.  I took some pictures of him on Wednesday afternoon rocking in it.



He is teething really bad right now and drooling like crazy!  He has always cut 2-4 teeth at the same time, so I don't know if that's why he drools so much right before he's cutting them or what, but his drool is out of control!!  He wears a bib pretty much all day unless he is sleeping, but after I snapped that first picture, I took off his bib because that's just not cute for pictures!













I was trying to get him to smile, but this is the best I could get with that chew stick.





I got it away from him and here's what he thought about that:

Ok, let's compromise.  I'll smile big, but I'm still going to chew this chew stick.









Do y'all see why we need the bib!!  These were all taken in maybe 5 minutes.  30 minutes without a bib and he has to have a new shirt!

And here's a video of him playing in his chair earlier this week.  He has randomly been saying Mama, but won't ever do it on camera, so that's why I keep saying it over and over in this video.

Daddy's Shoulders

Tuesday night we met Stephen at the mall to get cases for our new iPhones.  As we were leaving Stephen took Stephen out of the stroller and was carrying him and then put him up on his shoulders.  Stephen loved this!!!



We stopped so I could take a picture and Stephen layed his head down on Daddy's head.  He is such a sweet boy!



This evening did not end well though.  As we were driving home (almost to the house thankfully), Stephen started throwing up.  It was so much throw up and I felt awful for him.  He was crying and it was all over him.  I will spare you the rest of the details, but I am so glad we were almost home!  And I was SO thankful that Stephen was home. I can NOT handle throw up!  Stephen got him out of his carseat and carried him into our bath where I bathed him while Stephen cleaned the carseat and car.  It was so awful!  He threw up again that night in his crib, but after that he was fine, thank goodness.  It was so awful seeing him get sick like that.

Childrens Museum and a visit from Gran E and Papa G

Stephen had to work Saturday, so I took Stephen to the Children's Museum.  I went ahead and bought a year membership because it is a great deal and I see us coming here a lot on Saturdays while Stephen is working.  

Stephen had a great time!  This is pretty much how he was the whole time.  He just moved from one thing to another.

He loves these light sticks, but thinks they belong in the ball pit.  Needless to say, I spent a lot of time cleaning them out of the ball pit.













They also have an outdoor area with tricycles and little cars.  He went over and sat on this foam seat and just watched the kids outside.



This car is probably his favorite thing there!  He loves it!










He worked so hard getting both cups into the pan and then he would stand up and pick it up and they would fall out, so he would start over and put them back in.



He loved this cow!





On the way home I gave him his snack cup of cheerios.  It has a lid (not shown in this picture), that he can put his hand through, but the cheerios don't spill out.  This is what I saw when we got home and I went to get him out of his seat!  Cheerios everywhere!!



Stephen missed his afternoon nap and my parents were coming over, so I decided to put him down and see if he would sleep some.  I let him sleep for an hour and this is what I saw when I went to get him.  So cute!!





He did NOT want to wake up!  He was a tired boy!!

My parents came over to see Stephen and then we all ate dinner.  I realized I hadn't taken any pictures while my parents had been there so I snapped this one while my mom was giving Stephen his bottle.  He always plays with his hair while he drinks his bottle and I love his belly hanging out!



It was a fun filled day!
