We have been waiting for a weekend when Stephen was off work, we didn't have any commitments, and the weather was nice, to go to Palestine. This weekend, all the stars aligned and we got to go. The weather was absolutely perfect! We had a such a great time!

After breakfast on Saturday, we loaded up to ride around. Stephen was ready to see the cows.

We first stopped to see the new greenhouse.

Steve is growing flowers in there right now.

Then we lit a fire.

The cows use the restroom on the hay piles, so they burn them, so they don't eat them.

Stephen is pointing to Papaw and then pointing for him to drive. He does this every time I put him in his carseat. He even makes a "vroom" sound.

Papaw is confirming his instructions:

Nancy met up with us as we were driving around and Stephen kept looking back to wave to her.

He would stick his hand out the side and wave. It was so cute!

We finally made it to the cows!

Then Papaw let Stephen drive to the barn so we could see the chickens.

He was not a fan of the goat (Harley) and the horse (Grandma).

We went back to the house and Stephen was going to play on the play set. We were checking for wasp nests and hit what we thought was one, but it was a nest of baby birds.

So sad! We hope they make it!

After Stephen woke up from his nap, we headed to the lake. Stephen was our captain for the day.

Stephen wasn't so sure about the whole boating thing in the beginning. I'm not sure why:

Poor thing! His life jacket was so uncomfortable for him! He refused to move off of that seat for quite a while. We finally stopped and then he got a little more comfortable.

He loved honking the horn.

Dancing and clapping:

He even delivered a drink to Papaw while the boat was moving.

We got off the boat and went to eat dinner in Tyler.
I didn't take any pictures Sunday. After breakfast we rode around again and had lunch and loaded up the car to go home. We were almost to Conroe and Stephen said, "I don't feel like going home, let's go drive by Mom and Jim's lake lot." So we called Annette and Jim and they were actually about 30 minutes away from the lake, so we met them at the lake. They just signed the papers with the builder to start on the house! We went to dinner with them and then finally headed home!
We were all exhausted, but we had such a great weekend!!
