Fall is almost here

Well, technically Sunday was the first day of Fall, but with hot days in the 90's it hardly feels like Fall around here.  But the cool mornings and semi cool evenings make me so excited for Fall.  August and September are brutal and we unfortunantely did not spend too much time outside due to the heat.

In the afternoons when I get home from picking up Stephen from school, I let him relax a little and watch some tv while I cook dinner.  He is so tired when he gets home from school, so I know he loves a little time to relax.







He's snacking on a banana and trying to look around me taking his picture so he can watch his new favorite show, Caillou.





After dinner we went outside to enjoy the cooler weather.

Putting back the gas pump before riding.  Yes our garage is a hot mess right now.  That is on the to do list once the weather cools down because no one wants to clean a garage in 100 degree heat!





I have no idea why he is pouting.  He is much more moody since starting school and not getting his normal 3 hour nap.





But he quickly changes his mood into my happy boy!















There was a train going by and he was trying to look at it, but he can't see it from our driveway.  This is what he does when he can't find something, etc.  Check out that lip!













He took the truck back home and got his scooter.









Mom of the year forgot to put his helmet on first, so we had to go back and get it.

He always has to stop to check out the fire hydrant.





His first tumble.  Thankfully he didn't hurt himself and got right up and back on the scooter.



When we got to the mailboxes Daddy came home so Stephen got to drive his truck home while I carried the scooter back.

It was such a fun evening!  I can't wait to start getting outside more to play, go to the park, and have picnics.

Videos

The storage on our computer is getting full and everytime I upload pictures or video, I have to delete things.  So, I have been putting off uploading some videos due to storage issues, but I finally did it and wanted to share them with you.

I took this one when we first got our playset, so it was probably taken in early June.



This is a long video.  I took this the week after his birthday party when he was playing with all of his new toys.



Stephen is a little behind in his speech.  It's not something we are worried about, but we get so happy when we hear him say a new word.  We then make him say that word over and over, mainly because he is just so stinkin cute and every time he says a new word we think it is the most adorable thing ever!

Weekend in Galveston

We went to Galveston last weekend for a little getaway and had so much fun!  We stayed in a beach house with my parents, Aunt Linette, and Mamaw.

I picked Stephen up from school Friday afternoon and we headed down.  He hadn't napped at school all week and was exhausted so he took a little power nap in the car.



Once we got to the house we hung out on the porch for a while and then headed down to the beach.   It was such a perfect night and we enjoyed walking the beach.

Saturday morning I realized I forgot my memory card for my big camera, so I couldn't take any pictures.  I was super bummed!  So all of my pictures from this weekend are from my phone.

We had a relaxing morning and then headed to the strand to do some shopping.  We came home for lunch and Stephen took a great nap.  We had to wake him up at 3:30.





We went to the beach that afternoon and had so much fun!

Stephen got brave and started walking into the water.  My mom was just to his left, I was right behind him, and Aunt Linette was on his right.   You can't see any of us in these pictures, but we were right there!







We stayed out until the sun set and it was such a wonderful afternoon!

Sunday morning Uncle Aaron and Aunt Jessica came over.  We hung out a while at the house before heading to the beach.

We headed down to the beach and played some frisbee.







We went back to the house for lunch and cake/ brownies to celebrate Aaron and Jessica's birthdays.  Aaron's was on Sept. 3rd and Jessica's was Sept. 19th.





The Cowboys and the Texans played at noon so the guys tuned in to the games.  The Cowboys game wasn't being shown on tv, so they watched it on the ipad.



We spent some more time at the beach and then went back to the house to clean up, pack, and then went to dinner at Fisherman's Wharf.





Stephen held Mamaw's hand as we walked back to the car after dinner.   It was so great having her with us this weekend!



We had such a great weekend and I didn't want it to end!  It was great to spend all weekend with my family and soak up some sun as summer comes to an end.
