18 Weeks

I'm 18 weeks!  Only 2 more weeks and I will be halfway there.

I have been feeling really good except for some pain in my lower abdomen.  It is normal and just a part of growing a human inside of your body!  But some days it has been pretty painful when standing and walking.  I had pain with Stephen but I was much farther along.

We did have a big week around here.  Stephen got a big boy bed and we started moving rooms around upstairs to get ready for the new nursery.  I can't wait to find out what we are having so we can start decorating the nursery.  We still have a month until we find out though!

How Far Along: 18 Weeks
Size of baby: The size of a bell pepper

Maternity Clothes:  Yes
Gender: Don't know.  Our gender reveal party is on June 1st, so we will find out then!
Movement: Yes although not much this week.
Sleep: Pretty good
What I miss: Nothing
Cravings:  Fruit and Oreos

Aversion:  Nothing in particular.
Symptoms:  None that I can think of this week.

Best Moment this week:  Stephen getting his big boy bed.  He has done so good with it and loves it!  

Good Friday

We spent Easter at my parents house.  Stephen had to work Friday and Saturday, but I was off, so Stephen and I went out to my parents house Friday morning.

It was Mamaw's birthday, so we stopped by Kroger to get her a card and flowers and ran into my Mom.  So we shopped with her for groceries and then went out to their house.

When we got there, Mamaw had a present for Stephen.

Mamaw is always so sweet to think of him.

Stephen went down for a nap and my Mom and I went shopping in Tomball at some really neat boutiques.  It was so fun to just shop without a reason and not worry about time.  I shop primarily online, but when I go to a store, these days I always know what I want and have usually called to make sure they have it- haha!  It was nice to just walk around and enjoy shopping.

When Mom and I got home, Stephen and Papa were outside cleaning Stephen's water table.   We spent the rest of the afternoon outside cleaning the patio and just enjoying the beautiful weather.

We could not have asked for better weather.  It was so perfect and I was so happy we were out at Papa and Yaya's house.  Their lot is so pretty!

























Papa was looking for the white golf ball.  It was in Stephen's pocket.







He had so much fun golfing!





Yaya was making dinner and Stephen decorated the windows.

Then he and I went out to ride his bike before eating dinner.  I love these pictures of him.  He is so happy when he is riding his bike!







This is how he gets on his bike.  He figured this out all on his own.  He steps on the sides of the training wheels.



Then puts on foot on the pedal.

My parents are usually out with us and will walk all the way to the mailbox with him, but he and I were out there alone this time.  So I told him to go to the flower beds and turn around and he did!  He turned his bike around so good, which he had never done before.



















That night we celebrated Mamaw's birthday.





Someone was ready for cake- hahaha!!





Happy Birthday Mamaw!!  We love you so much and are so glad we were there to celebrate your birthday with you!

We had such a wonderful day and the weekend was just getting started!

17 Weeks

I am 17 weeks!  I am still feeling really good.   This weekend we spent 3 days with my parents for Easter and I did get really tired, but we were busy all day long with Stephen and then mom and I went shopping during his naps on Friday and Saturday.  We had such a great time though.  I took over 500 pictures and lots of video so I'm still working on the Easter blog!

I am also really happy to be this far along.  I know it's only 17 weeks and we still have a long way to go, but each week is so important.  I was really, really worried in the beginning of this pregnancy.  I just know so many people who have experienced miscarriages and problems and it made me so nervous.  Every day I feel so grateful to be pregnant and be growing a healthy baby!

Gender: Don't know.  Our gender reveal party is on June 1st, so we will find out then!
Movement: Yes although not much this week.
Sleep: Pretty good, but I have been waking up so much to go to the bathroom though.
What I miss: Nothing
Cravings: Nothing really, but I have been really hungry this week.  I usually eat 3 meals and maybe have an afternoon snack, but lately I need about 5-6 small meals.  

Aversion:  Nothing in particular.  I have gotten over my food aversions.
Symptoms:  Emotionally I have been a little "off".  Stephen and I have been fighting more and we rarely ever fight, so I think my hormones and emotions are a little crazy right now. 

Best Moment this week: Easter!  We had the best 3 days at my parents house for Easter.  I can't believe next Easter we will have a baby!  I am so excited!  

Ice Cream

Mamaw sent Stephen an Easter card and $5.  She said to go get ice cream with the $5, so after school that's what we did.

I shot this video to send to my Dad so he could show Mamaw.



We went to a place where you fill your own cup with ice cream and then add your own toppings.  Stephen LOVED it!

I told him to say "cheese" and this is what he did.



So then I just showed him how to smile and this is what he did.



It doesn't look like he has much ice cream, but he does.  The cups were huge!





He told me he was going to take a big bite and thought he was so funny!
