Day 5- His first doctors appointment

Stephen III had his first doctors appointment today. My mom was here to help us get ready and out the door in the morning. We packed the whole house (or at least all the babies stuff) and headed out- ha!





His appointment went great. I love his doctor! He weighs 7 pounds and 9 ounces which is what he weighed when he was discharged from the hospital. So we need to work on eating. He needs to be back at his birth weight by next week. Right now, he only wants to eat every 4-5 hours. I offer every 2-3, but he won't take it. So I am going to have to start pumping and giving him a bottle in between breastfeeding. This really upset me, but in the end the most important thing is that he is healthy and he will still be getting breast milk, so that is good.

After his appointment we went by my work so everyone could see him. Everyone was so excited to see him and it was great to see all of them as well.

We came home and just hung out the rest of the afternoon and enjoyed our baby boy! He starting taking a bottle every 3-4 hours and we will work on getting it more to 2-3 hours. He is happy when he takes a bottle and it makes me happy knowing that he is getting all the food he needs.
