One week old

Stephen III is one week old today. I can't believe it! This has been such an amazing week! There really are no words to describe how much I love our baby boy! He is just the light of our life. A week ago I couldn't imagine our life with a baby and now I can't imagine our life without him. He brings unspeakable amounts of love and joy to our life!

He has already changed so much to me in just a week. In some ways I am sad, but in others I am so happy we have had this week with him. I can't wait for all of his milestones, but can't help but feel sad about my baby growing up!

We had a relaxing morning just hanging out at home.

In the afternoon, Steve and Nancy came by to see us. Ok, not us, they just came to see the baby- ha!

I also want to say how amazing my husband has been this past week! During labor he was right by my side, encouraging me when I needed it, holding my hand when I needed it, and leaving me alone when I needed it. The moment our son was born, a new man appeared. He is the most wonderful and caring father to our son! He is confident and gentile with him and he is mostly head over heels in love with his baby.

Stephen has also been the most wonderful and caring husband this past week. In the hospital he did everything to take care of our baby and me while getting little sleep on an uncomfortable cot. He has been my rock when I needed it. He encouraged me when I was feeling down. He has made me feel so loved. He has served us with such a happy and loving heart. I love him so much!
