Steve and Nancy were kind enough to let us take my family to Palestine for a few days. We had the best time together! Thank you Steve and Nancy for letting us enjoy the ranch!
Despite it being August, we spent pretty much all of our time outside and the majority of it in the pool. We also enjoyed riding around and playing games together. It was a relaxing get a away for us all!
This is going to be a long post with pictures and video.
We turned Stephen's car seat around before we left home. By law they have to be rear facing until they are a year old, but should stay rear facing as long as possible because it is safer. Stephen is so long though that his poor legs were all scrunched up, so we decided to go ahead and turn him around. He seems happier and we love seeing him!
He slept most of the way to Palestine.

Sadie gets to ride shotgun these days while I sit in the back with Stephen. She would lick him to death if we let her sit in the back with him.

Here's some video I took in the car.
We stopped and had lunch with Steve and Nancy as we were getting into town and they were leaving. It was nice to see them!
We finally got the the ranch Tuesday afternoon. My family was coming up Wednesday, so it was just the three of us that afternoon and we had fun!
Stephen loved walking all over. He was so happy to be outside and free!

He loves riding in the front of the mule and that seat belt does a really good job of keeping him safe. We still go slow with him though, but I think he is more stable riding like this than with us holding him. Whenever we go over something really bumpy or a hill or something, we will put our hand out to hold him better and he gets super annoyed!

He got this goose egg Tuesday afternoon as we were playing in the living room. He fell and hit the side of a chair. The chair is padded pretty well, but he hit the side just right. It immediately swelled into this bump.

Here is some video I shot on Tuesday:
The hay had just been bailed and it made the fields so pretty!

Mom, Dad, Aaron and Jessica all got there Wednesday afternoon/ evening. Thursday morning, the boys got up and played golf. It was super hot, but they had a great time.

While the boys were golfing, we were swimming!
My mom taught Stephen to hold his breath to go under water, blow bubbles, and "jump" off the side of the pool. She is such a great teacher!

Here is a video of him blowing bubbles and "jumping":
He also loved drinking water out of a water bottle and did very well with it.

We had lunch by the pool which Stephen loved!! I folded up a towel for him to sit on and he did so good.

The boys got back and joined us in the pool. They were all so hot and ready for a swim.

After swimming we all took a long ride.

We stopped by the rope swing.

Always make sure you wear a helmet when swinging, it is very dangerous! Haha!

We went to the pier to feed the fish.

Then we went down the road to check out the zebras.

Stephen didn't sleep well during his afternoon nap and I think the sun wore him out because as we were riding he fell asleep.

That evening we played Guesstures and had SO much fun!! Here is a video clip:
Friday morning we took a ride with Aaron and Jessica. My dad's back was hurting him, so he was resting and my mom was already in the pool.

He wanted to sit with Stephen the whole time we were riding. This boy loves his Daddy!

He kept looking back at Aaron and Jessica.

This is his new face. He was making this face all week.

Mom was conducting business while in the pool. Now, that's the way to work!!

After Stephen's nap, we all joined her.

We had a few swim races. Aaron won all of them, shocker!

And we all jumped off the diving board.

Later that afternoon, my mom watched Stephen and the rest of us went to the pier to shoot guns. I was trying to get my settings right and I got this great shot of my dad and Aaron laughing! I love this picture of them!

I didn't take a ton of pictures on Saturday. We rode around some more and swam. It was just a nice, relaxing day.

My mom brought this mold to make of Stephen's hand or foot. I really wanted to do his hand, but he kept trying to grab the mold so it wouldn't work and we had to do his foot. But I love how it turned out!

My mom took this picture with her cell phone and I love it!!!!

We had a great time together!!
