We had a great weekend full of fun and a little relaxing!
Saturday morning Stephen and I headed out early and went to the car wash to get my car washed. I also need an oil change and an inspection, but there was already an hour wait and we just don't have time for that! The pool was opening at 10 and we needed to be there right when they opened!
The pools in our neighborhood are officially open for the summer, so we will be living there! I have already planned out our week around the pool schedule and what pool we will go to what day- ha!

We went to the frog pool and Stephen did great! He is a little fish! He did so good swimming to me and also loved the slide. Last year he was a little hesitant on the frog slide, but this year he went right down and did it about 100 more times before we left!

I packed lunch so we could eat at the pool which was fun and Stephen loved it!

He doesn't like me to take his picture anymore, so all day I was telling him that I was taking a picture to send to Daddy at work. He was eating his apples and told me to take a picture of his apple to send to Daddy. Too cute! And I really did send all these pictures to Daddy. We all miss each other so much on Saturdays. I know it's hard for us to not have him with us, but I know it is much harder on him to be at work.

He was exhausted when we got home and went straight to bed and slept for 3 hours! My hands and feet have been swelling really bad lately and the only thing that helps is drinking a lot of water and then elevating them. Being in the pool helped a ton! I felt so good when we got home and then I just rested while Stephen napped. It was really nice!
When Stephen woke up we watched Micky Mouse and then went to the grocery store. We came home and unloaded the groceries, ate dinner, and played in the gameroom together. Daddy got home just as I was putting Stephen to bed so it was nice for them to see each other even if just to give good night kisses.
Sunday, Stephen let me sleep in. I didn't even hear him get up. My sinuses were bothering me and I didn't feel well, so I enjoyed that extra sleep! When I got up, I made us pancakes and sausage for breakfast and then we all got ready to go to Christian's birthday party.
The party was at a trampoline park and was so much fun! Christian's mom, Jana, made capes and masks for all of the kids which were so cute!

Stephen had an absolute blast jumping!

This is what happens when Mommy can't jump and Daddy is in charge!

Thankfully he got in trouble by the worker so he couldn't do that anymore!
So he resorted to pulling his arms out of their sockets. Ugh! I remember when we were teenagers he did this all the time to our niece, Madison, and his sister, Alisa, would yell at him.

But Stephen had a blast and we thankfully left in one piece!
Our friend, Giovanna, took this picture with her camera. She was trying to get a picture of him all day and then as they were walking down this ramp, he just turned around and smiled like this. So funny!

The party was from 12-2, which is when Stephen naps. If you know us, you know we revolve our life around nap time! He was so tired when we got in the car from jumping for 2 hours instead of napping that he fell asleep right away. If we went home, he wouldn't have gone back to sleep and we would have had a very cranky toddler to deal with the rest of the day, so we decided to drive out to a neighborhood in Cypress that we have been wanting to look at.
We are hoping to move in the next year or two to a bigger house and we really want a better backyard and a pool. We really love our neighborhood and the commute for Stephen is better here than anywhere else, but we really want to be closer to my parents and our friends. Moving to Cypress would be perfect. But the commute for Stephen would almost double and that is hard, especially since he already works so much.
So we drove out to the neighborhood in Cypress and just drove around while Stephen napped. One thing Stephen and I love doing is driving around looking at houses. We have probably driven down every street of our neighborhood and we have a huge neighborhood!
Stephen woke up and we went into the welcome center and looked at the pool. It is a really great neighborhood, but something about it just wasn't 'right' for us. Since we were in Cypress we decided to drive by our old high school and then went to eat at Chuy's.
When we got home, we decided we love our neighborhood so much! I really want to stay here and buy a new house in our neighborhood. I just love everything about it and it is the perfect place to raise a family. I just wish it were closer to my parents!
We got home and Stephen was tired. He cuddled up with Daddy and his guitar and watched Caliou.

It was a really great weekend, I just wish it was longer!
