Saturday morning, my parents neighborhood had an Easter egg hunt. My Dad wasn't feeling well, so he didn't go with us. We got there early so I got a few pictures of Stephen while we waited.

He was in a silly mood!

After I took those I tried to get one on my phone to send to Stephen at work and when I asked for a picture to send to Daddy he immediately did this.

Avery was so good and just hung out in the stroller all morning watching everyone. Next year he can join in on the fun!!!

The Easter bunny came! Last year, Stephen was afraid of him, but this year he loved him!

My attempt at a picture with the bunny and both boys. The sun was a little bright.

We had more time to wait so we somehow managed to convince Stephen to take pictures with us. I LOVE how these turned out!

Stephen was at the front just waiting for the Easter bunny to say GO!

There were eggs everywhere, but he was so slow to get them and would pass up 20 or so and pick up one and then walk by another 20.

Showing me all of his eggs.

He spotted the Easter bunny.

My favorite pictures! My mom was making him laugh.

Right after the hunt started the Easter bunny came over and gave Avery an egg. He played with it the rest of the time we were there.

After the egg hunt, the kids all played on the playground. The Easter bunny joined them, which Stephen thought was so great!

Stephen played for awhile and then we headed back to the house. Avery got a bottle and took a catnap with Yaya and then we went over to see my friend Courtney since she was at her mom's house just a few minutes away.
When we got back we ate lunch and then went swimming. Avery was tired and was NOT happy about being in the water. Thankfully Mamaw got there at that time and so she held him and he was happy. We had a blast swimming! I used our Go Pro and took a bunch of cool video while we swam, but didn't take any pictures.
Everyone took great naps that afternoon! After naps we just played and then I went and met Stephen for dinner and we went and saw Furious 7.
Sunday morning brought lots of fun from the Easter bunny!
Stephen loves a show called Paw Patrol so he got some fun Paw Patrol stuff in his Easter basket. He also got a wallet which he is obsessed with!

Avery got a lot of fun noise makers and his first sippy cup!

After everyone looked through their baskets, it was time for the egg hunt.

He was so excited to find a Mickey egg.

I can not get over how sweet Avery looked. Stephen wore this same outfit on his first Easter and I could not wait for Avery to wear it!

Don't worry buddy, next year you will be hunting eggs too!

I LOVE this picture!!!

Here are two pictures of Stephen on his first Easter. This picture below is one of my favorites of him. I can't believe this was just 3 short years ago and that we now have another sweet little boy! We are so blessed!!!

Stephen came up to show me something. It must have been 'shocking' - haha!!!

The settings on this picture weren't the best but it was the best family picture we got, so I included it.

I love my sweet family so much. So grateful they are mine!

It was time to go inside and check out his loot!

He was so funny opening all of his eggs. He would say, "oh no" in an excited voice and then insert whatever it was. "Oh no, MONEY!!!!" We weren't sure why he was saying oh no because he was happy about it all.

He would immediately go put any money in his wallet.

He traded in his gold egg for a rocket launcher.

We were so happy that Mamaw was there with us.

We have all given up wheat and sugar, but decided that we would still made our coconut cake because it just wouldn't be Easter without it. Stephen helped Yaya decorate it.

He also taste tested the candy.

This year we dyed the coconut green and it turned out so cute.

This is the reason I take pictures like the paparazzi. I was taking pictures of the coconut cake and looked up and saw my Dad and Mamaw standing there. I will always cherish these 3 photos.

Avery got 2 maracas in his Easter basket and Stephen was shaking them. Avery was cracking up. No one makes Avery laugh like Stephen.

We had such a great Easter. This year I told Stephen the story of Jesus dying and then how he rose on Easter Sunday and was alive again. He had a lot of questions and I told him the story over and over. I know he doesn't really understand right now, but I hope he knows that Easter is about more than baskets and eggs filled.
