Here's what we were up to this week in cell phone pictures.
Monday after his nap, Stephen just sat quietly in his room reading a book. I didn't even know he was awake because he wasn't making any noise. He is seriously the best kid!!! When we put him to bed at night, he has never come out of his room. In the morning, if he has to go to the bathroom, he gets up and goes and then gets back in bed and waits for us to come get him. When he wakes up from his nap, he waits for us to call him over the monitor to tell him to come down. We tell him all the time that when he wakes up he can just come downstairs and into our room, but he says he will just wait for us.

Avery had been doing really good napping in his crib, but after the long weekend away, he didn't sleep as good this week in the afternoon. He took good morning naps, but in the afternoon he would wake up after about 30- 45 minutes. I knew he had to sleep more than that or our night would be rough, so I held him for an hour or so. It is certainly nice to have nap time to get things done, but I also know that this time is very short so right now I am just going to hold my baby.

He is so sweet!!

After he started waking up, he buried his face into my neck. So sweet!

Taking a truck ride to get the mail.

Showing off his new tattoo from RaRa.

Loving his new hat the Easter bunny "left at our house for him to find".

Avery is not into eating baby food. I have been trying for a while now and he wants nothing to do with it. I have heard about something called Baby Led Weaning and decided to give it a try and he loves it!!!! I will do a whole blog post on this (or maybe not, you never know these days- haha!), but basically you just give them big chunks of food and let them suck on it and eat it as they choose.
He loves cucumber! He doesn't really eat it because he doesn't have teeth and it is hard, but he LOVES just sucking on it.

Another favorite is apple.

He also started using his sippy cup and likes it but has a hard time turning it over to get the water out. I am going to get him a straw cup to try.

Stephen loves playing in the backyard by himself while I am feeding Avery or making dinner.

Avery taking a cat nap one night. He didn't have a good afternoon nap and by 5:00, he was so cranky and fussy, so he laid with me for about 15 minutes and woke up happy as could be.

Daddy put Stephen's hat on Avery which Stephen thought was hilarious.

We tried banana which he thought was ok.

This picture cracks me up!

Drool!!!!!!!!!!

Avery can sit up on his own, but chooses not to most of the time. If he is playing with something, you just scoot away from him slowly, he will sit up by himself for a while.

Working on tummy time. He is great at rolling from back to tummy, but has a hard time getting from tummy to back.

Eating apples at chik-fil-a. Our chik-fil-a is closing for 2 months to do renovations. I think Stephen is going to go through withdrawals! Thankfully it will be during May and June when the weather should be nice so we won't need chik-fil-a. We usually only go there when it is too cold for the park or it is raining. This day it was raining.

Friday night we took Stephen to a Rockets game. I'm going to do another post with more pictures about this, but he loved it!

One night as I was getting him out of the bath, he said, "look Mommy, I organized my toys". I was so proud!

Saturday, Stephen's blast ball game got canceled and we were going to go to the zoo, but it was supposed to be raining all day, so we canceled all of our plans and stayed home. I was feeding Avery and Stephen wanted to play in the garage (he can seriously tinker in the garage for HOURS). He found these boxes of Baby Once stuff I have in the garage and he was bringing them in. He told me he was making a wall and my back was to him so I had no idea what he was doing. After he was done he showed me his master piece. He was so proud! I was shocked he stacked them that high! I asked him how he did it and he said he just stood on the chair. Oh my!

By the way, it only rained for about 10 minutes on Saturday! I was bummed we didn't go to the Zoo, but it was nice just to have a day at home.
