NYC- Friday

It was our last day in NYC so we got up and got ready and fully packed. Our flight was not until later than evening, so we dropped our bags off with the bell hop and hit the city for our final day.

This flower shop was on the corner by our hotel. I loved all the corner flower shops!

We took the subway down to Lexington Ave. to go to a great place for brunch.

Turns out they were closed, so I convinced Stephen to head down to the Lower East Side to Doughnut Planet.

It was so hard to decide, but I had a carrot cake and creme brulee.

The carrot cake was wonderful! Inside was a cream cheese frosting like filling. Yum!

The creme brulee was equally as good with a crunchy, sugary shell and a cream center.

We then took the subway down to the Southside Seaport. Our plan was to walk the Brooklyn Bridge. Yea, this is about as close as we got to the Brooklyn Bridge- ha! Maybe next time!

Stephen didn't eat any doughnuts, so he was hungry. We sat down at this restaurant overlooking the Brooklyn Bridge. It was perfect! The weather was so nice too. It was overcast so it kept it cool, but never rained.

We then walked down Wall Street.

And made our way to Battery Park.

It was super windy at the park so we walked up to Ground Zero.

This is the fire station right across from Ground Zero.

They are building the Freedom Tower, which will be amazing!

We took the subway back to our hotel for the last time and picked up our bags, got a cab and headed to the hotel.

It was an exhausting trip, but so much fun!
