Shelley had a tutu made for Izabella so we dressed her up and took some pictures.  I am not a professional, but I think these turned out pretty cute!

Stephen's 30th Birthday

Stephen turned 30 on Saturday.  That night he celebrated with his friends by playing poker.  He didn't win, but had fun nonetheless.  Sunday we celebrated as a family at his dad's house with a crawfish boil.  We don't eat crawfish, but they also had shrimp which we both like and a crawfish boil is always fun because everyone just sits around and visits while cooking and eating.  It's always a ton of fun and today was no exception.

I put some banana in this mesh feeder for Stephen and he loved it.  It was a mess though!







We brought Stephen's car over and Papaw took him on a ride around the pool.





He was so focused on the little flag on his outfit.





Then he tried to eat it, of course!





Yummy!  Mike did all the cooking and did a great job!  Everything was so good!



Stephen took a great nap while we all ate, which was nice.  Then we had cake.  This is an ice cream cake from Marble Slab and was so good!

We all know what's going on here.  Sorry baby!  Stephen has been trying to get this on camera for months and I just happened to be snapping pictures when he started doing it.



Brook and Izabella came over.  Shelley had a tutu made for Izabella and we played dress up later and took some pictures.  I will post those in a separate post.  They came out so good!



Stephen kept crawling like this and it made me so nervous he was going to fall and hit his head on the hard floor.  He has never crawled like this before and hasn't since, so weird!





Shelley put out this mat for him to play with and Cameron was so sweet to play with him.



But it wasn't long before he was pulling up on the ottoman.





Steve and Nancy had this fun toy.   He really likes it!

The watch you see Stephen wearing in these pictures is what I got him for his birthday.  He actually bought it for himself 2 weeks ago.  I wouldn't let him wear it until his birthday and tortured him by setting it on our dresser!  He was so happy to finally wear it on Saturday.

9 Months

Stephen is 9 months old!  I really can't believe how big he is getting!  This month has been so much fun!  He learned how to pull up and started really crawling and he started waving.  He is getting so big and we are enjoying every day with him!   I used to think I would miss the newborn "baby" stage, but I have to say this stage is so much fun!  He is just such a happy baby and brings so much joy to us!  

I am still working on his 9 month pictures.

* He looks like such a big boy, but he can actually still wear 6-9 month clothes.  The length is where they usually don't fit.  He typically wears 9-12 month clothes, although I have been buying 12-18 months in hopes they will last us through the summer, we'll see!

* He drinks 6 ounces of formula 4 times a day and eats 3 ounces of solids 3 times a day.  We cut out his 6pm bottle this month and increased his solids at dinner.  

*He is doing great with his sippy cup.  

* I make all of his baby food. This month we added zucchini, broccoli, pears and oranges.  He loves them all!  Such a good eater!

*We are still using cloth diapers and loving it!

*He is still sleeping great, 8pm to 7 am.

* He takes 2 naps for about an hour and a half to 2 hours each day plus a little catnap in the evening.

*He just started waving!  When we went to his baptism he looked at all of our family sitting there and waved like he was saying hi.  It was so cute!  Since then every time he waves we started saying "hi" or "bye" so now when we say "hi" or "bye" he will wave.  It's really cute!   

* He is always on the move and pulling up on stuff.  He loves to just move from on thing to another pulling up on them as he goes. 

* He loves bath time!

* A week before we turned 9 months old, he started really crawling instead of army crawling and now he rarely ever army crawls.  

* He hates his diaper being changed or changing his clothes.  He doesn't want to stop playing!  

*He is such a happy, fun baby!

Busy weekend!

We have been so busy lately and this weekend was no exception!  Saturday was Stephen's 30th birthday and Stephen's 9 month birthday!

Saturday I went to a baby shower and then we went to a surprise party for Jessica's birthday which was in January, but since she was about to have Olivia, they waited until now to have the party.  Stephen already had his poker party planned so he didn't stay long at Jessica's party.  Sunday we spent pretty much the whole day at Steve and Nancy's for Stephen's birthday.  I am still working on Stephen's 9 month post and Stephen's birthday post, but I wanted to share these pictures in the meantime.

This was right before we left the house to go to Jessica's party.  I thought he looked so cute!   The shorts have a little stripe of orange in them, but it's hard to see in the pictures.

Friday morning

I am so happy it is Friday!  Even though we have a busy weekend planned, I am looking forward to spending time with my boys!

Friday morning after Stephen finished his bottle he was itching to get down.  As soon as I set him down he crawled over to the window and climbed up.  He loves looking at Sadie and she was laying outside the window in the grass.  Stephen stood there for a long time just looking at her.







Then he ventured over to the chairs to see if there was anything good he could get.





Nothing good in that chair, so he decided to move on.  It's crazy to me how he knows to lean back like this to sit down instead of just falling.  He does lose his balance every now and then and fall, but most of the time he does this.  It's crazy how they fast they learn things.



He made his way over to the other chair.



And tried to climb up into it.



But mama said no, so he stopped and sat down.  Haha!  Yeah right!  He realized the foot rest was too unsteady, so he stopped his quest to climb into the chair.
