Wow, it's been a busy week and we've only made it to Thursday! Stephen is keeping us on our toes this week as he is learning to pull up. It opens a whole new world of things for him to discover.
This week my phone has been my only source of photos for Stephen. He is just too busy and into too much for me to go and grab the big camera and get my settings right. The moment would be gone. I once heard a quote that said "the best camera is the one that's with you" and I definitely agree with that! I am glad I have a camera on my phone to snap these quick, fleeting moments of our boy!
Here are some from Monday afternoon while we played together.

He was pulling up so much on the chairs so I took some video.
In the second video, I love how he stops to touch the nailheads on the chair. He is so observant!
Tuesday he was twirling his hair while eating dinner. Awesome!

We went to meet Marci, Roger, Annette and Jim later that night at Pappasitos for dinner. It was a quick dinner for us because we had to get back home to put Stephen to bed. I took some oranges to entertain him while we ate and it worked great! He concentrates so hard on eating them.

I love how he uses his thumb and index finger to pick them up. So cute!

Since Stephen's birthday is Saturday, Marci had them come sing to him. Stephen was just staring at them all singing and then at the very end he started pouting.

Since he is pulling up so much, we moved his crib down Tuesday. It looks like such a big boy bed now! It seems like a toddler should be in this bed, not my almost 9 months old!!

It's a good thing we moved it down because this is what we saw Wednesday morning on the monitor. I think he is looking down thinking, "just a couple more weeks and I'll figure out how to climb out of here!".

He looks so big standing up in his crib, it's hard to believe he is not even 9 months old yet!
Wednesday morning I left the living room for just a second to go put his bottle in the sink and I came back to this.

We have a basket that holds all of his diapers, wipes, extra onesies, socks, etc. that we may need for the day so we don't have to run upstairs every time we need something and he was throwing everything out of it. Little stinker!

Right after that he spit up a bunch so I had to change his outfit. After I was done, he went right back to the ottoman to stand up. After the stands up he looks at you and smiles and laughs. He is so cute!

I went to grab my big camera from the kitchen and was literally gone for just a second and he was climbing the stairs!!!! It's amazing what they can get into in literally just a quick second! The days of leaving the room just for a bit are over!

I stood there with my hand on his back in case he fell and he literally scaled the stairs. He has never climbed them before and was on the fourth step so fast! I was amazed!
Wednesday night, Stephen had to work late so it was just me and the little guy. We went to Babies R Us to pick up some things and then came home and got a bath. We got some new bath toys at Babies R Us that he loved. The stacking cups were a hit.

He even tried to pull up on the side of the bathtub.
I was trying to put his diaper and pj's on and he got away and went to stand up on the chair.

That last picture is how he looks at you every time he stands up. So proud of himself!
Here is a short video of me tickling him. I love his sweet laugh! He brings us so much joy!
This has nothing to do with anything else in this post, but I wanted to include it. This weekend Stephen finally hung up my Sid Dickens tiles that I got for Christmas. I got the piano keys and the half red tile. We did some rearranging and I love them all so much! I am a little tired of the candlesticks though, I think they are kind of boring, so I'm going to try and change things up on the mantle. We'll see!

So that's what we've been up to so far this week! I am just amazed at what our boy can do at not even 9 months old. He is growing up so fast, but we are enjoying every second!
