I have so much blogging to catch up on! With the long weekend ahead of us, I am hoping to get caught up. But for now I am going to blog current stuff so I don't get even more behind!
Last week we went to Galveston with my family. My parents rented a beach house for the week so we went down Wednesday right after I got off work and stayed until Sunday afternoon.
Our view from the living room and patio was so nice!
Our view from the living room and patio was so nice!

After a very early wake up call (someone forgot to inform Stephen that we sleep in on vacation), we all got tattoos.

Ignore the red blob, that's just my expanding belly that I can no longer see over!

We relaxed at the house all morning and then headed down to the beach.

Stephen got a new chair before this trip and insisted on carrying it himself.

It was a really nice day.

Just me and my bump hanging out!

Do y'all see the seaweed behind Stephen? I mean how can you miss it! I am not lying when I say it was 4 feet high and stretched as far as we could see. We had to climb over it to get to the beach. Yuck!!!

Thankfully the tractors were down there working on clearing it off and by Thursday afternoon is was gone.

Thursday afternoon we just hung out and went down to the beach again. It was a nice relaxing day!
Friday morning, I got another early wake up call. I was sleeping in the same room with Stephen and every morning around 6 am I heard him whisper, "Mama". I tried to ignore him, tell him it was to early and to go back to bed, let him sleep with me, etc. Nothing worked, he was ready to get up.
He wanted to wake the whole house up, so he and I walked down to the beach to see the sun rise. It was really windy and cold this day.

Back at the house we just hung out all morning. I took a nap with Stephen everyday because I was so tired from waking up early with him.

That afternoon we went to ride the ferry.

I love how Stephen has his hands wrapped around his Daddy's head.

I have the greatest parents and they are the best grandparents for my kids! I am so thankful for them!!

We saw dolphins!

Mamaw was there too! I am so glad she came!

After the ferry ride, we went to dinner at Fishtails. It was SO good!!
They had a sandbox outside that Stephen wanted to play in so after we ate I took him out there while everyone else finished. He really wanted to play in it, but there was a problem. It was full of sand. And he hates sand!

He got out and washed his hands off in the fountain. This boy hates for his hands to be dirty!

We were right across from the Pleasure Pier so he and I watched the rides and the people. Those rides are scary!!! The wind was so strong tonight I was shocked people were riding them! Everyone came out of the restaurant and Stephen showed them the sandbox and then decided that the sand wasn't really that bad and he wanted to stay and play. Sorry buddy!
Although it was way past his bed time, there was some sun light left when we got home so he got to go on a short bike ride before heading to bed.

I was hoping Stephen would sleep in Saturday morning since he had been up late the night before, but no such luck. We were up at 6 am, but it was ok because we got to spend some time with Daddy before he had to go to work. Unfortunately Stephen had to work Saturday.
Once everyone was up, we went to a park that we had seen the day before. It was really, really windy this day and the waves at the beach were crazy otherwise we would have been at the beach!

Your never to old to have fun at the park!

After the park we went to the strand and walked around for a long time. We came home and then Stephen and I took a nap. We went down late and woke up late and Stephen wasn't in the best mood. It was miserably windy on the beach so we drove down to the sea wall to walk around and then went to Walmart, which is always entertaining!

My Dad was holding onto his hat so it wouldn't blow away so Stephen was imitating him.

You can probably guess how Sunday started out. EARLY!!! Stephen was acting up and being loud so I took him to go get donuts so he didn't wake up the whole house.
Once everyone was up we went to the beach!! It was the perfect day!
Stephen is so funny about the beach and sand. He acts like the sand is going to murder him and then all of the sudden he is fine and will play in it and run into the water. He really hates dry sand, but does well in the wet sand.

He was having a blast filling up water buckets and digging in the sand.

My Dad is so sweet and spent most of the day helping Stephen. And by helping I mean following Stephen's commands- lol!

We had lunch on the beach and then the boys played soccer. Stephen got this soccer ball a week ago because he gave up his paci's. I am so proud of him!

He is really good at soccer and had the time of his life!

Sadly, it was time for us to leave the beach. Stephen slept all the way home and walked in the door and did this. He was so tired (I told him he should have slept in!!!).

We were all bummed that the weather wasn't better so we could spend more time at the beach. It was just way too windy! But we still had a great time and it was really nice to get away for a few days!
