7 months

This has been such a fun month. The day Stephen turned 6 months old, he was sitting on his own. And now at 7 months he is army crawling everywhere. And he can roll across a room fast! His personality is really starting to come out. He is determined!! If he wants something, he is going to get it. And don't think you can hide it and he will forget about it. He will break his neck leaning over and stretching to find whatever you just hid from him- haha! He is also so curious. He wants to touch everything. He also thinks his daddy is the funniest guy ever! He will just laugh and laugh at Stephen.

I couldn't narrow his pictures down this month, there were just too many cute ones. So here are a bunch of pictures of our 7 month old.

Stephen was home the day I was doing this photoshoot and he came upstairs just as I was taking these pictures. Here is Stephen's expression right before Stephen walked in.

And then when he sees Daddy. I need to get a video of him when Daddy comes home from work. He gets so excited.

Stephen got behind me and was making him smile.

He has been making this face a lot lately.

His hair is getting thick and starting to curl in the back. I love his dirty blond hair.

*I will come back and add his weight here. We need to weigh him.

*He wears 6-9 or 6-12 month clothes. Some of his 9 months clothes are too small in the length, but fit everywhere else. He is outgrowing some of my favorite outfits and it makes me so sad!

* He drinks 6 ounces of formula 5 times a day and eats 3 ounces of solids 3 times a day.

* I make all of his baby food. So far he has had oatmeal, avocado, butternut squash, acorn squash, peas, sweet potato, carrots, parsnips, and banana. He likes everything we give him. We stopped the banana after about a week because he was spitting up so much that week and that was the only new thing we gave him. His spit up lessened without the banana so that may have been the culprit.

*We are still using cloth diapers and loving it!

*He is a great sleeper. At night he sleeps from 8 pm until 7 am.

* He takes 2 naps for about an hour and a half to 2 hours each day plus a little catnap in the evening. Since he is more active he is really sleeping good for his naps.

* He is always on the move, but also content just being still. He will find a toy and just sit and play with it for a while. And by play I mean eat! Everything goes into his mouth!

* He still just plays with his pacifier and doesn't really suck on it too much.

*We started doing baths in the big bath tub and while he was a little reserved at first he is starting to get more comfortable and splash around some.

* He rolls over so quick. He can roll across the room in no time!

*He got a big car seat this month.

*There are two things he HATES! Changing clothes and wiping his face off after eating. He really hates these two things!

*He is such a happy, fun baby!

Happy 7 month birthday Stephen!

Stephen,

Each day we love you more and more. You are the most precious baby and we can't imagine our lives without you. You are so much fun and such a joy! You mean the world to us! When I put you to sleep either for a nap or at bed time, I sing two songs to you: You Are My Sunshine and Jesus Loves Me. I hope you always remember that you are my sunshine, you make me happy when skies are gray, and that you'll never know how much I love you. I also hope you will always remember how much Jesus loves you! He gave his life for you baby so love him back!

Love,
Mommy

6 Years

Stephen and I have been married for 6 years! It has been a great 6 years!

We had a fun weekend celebrating our anniversary. My parents kept Stephen all weekend so Friday night my mom came out to our house and picked him up. We went and saw The Vow. It was so good!

Saturday, we went to the wedding of our friends Jason and Giovanna at noon. It was so fun to be at a wedding on our anniversary!

Here is Jason and Gio and their first dance.

Here is a picture of Stephen and I with some of our friends, Elena and Pablo.

Here is a picture of Stephen and I from my cell phone.

After the reception we headed down to Galveston. It was raining when we left and rained on us until La Marque. But then the sky cleared off and was absolutely B-E-A-utiful!!

We stayed at the San Luis, which I just love! Here is the view from our room as soon as we arrived.

Don't let these pictures fool you though, it was cold!! And windy! We had planned on going to sit at the pool bar and have a drink before dinner, but it was way to cold! So we just hung out in our room for a while.

We stayed on the 10th floor, which is called Club 10. The rooms are different from all the other floors and have this really nice seating area.

And a TV in the bathroom mirror!

As we were leaving to go to dinner the sun was setting and was so gorgeous! I took these with my cell phone.

We had a wonderful dinner at Rudy and Pacos.

After dinner we drove around East beach for a while and found an area called Beachtown that we had never seen before. Then we went back to the San Luis. We were going to go sit at the bar and have a drink, but it was really crowded and we were pretty tired. We just went back to the room and were asleep by 10:30!!

Sunday we slept in a little, I think we got up around 8. We can't sleep in like we used to be able to. But since we get up every weekend at 7, sleeping until 8 was nice. We just lounged around the room for a while which was so nice. We usually have to pop up and tend to a baby so just laying around and doing nothing is nice.

Here was our view in the morning.

Photobucket

I took this with my cell phone. The sun was peaking out of the clouds.

Photobucket

It was still a little chilly, but we bundled up and went and sat on the balcony for a while. It was so wonderful to just listen to the waves. I LOVE the beach!

On the Club 10 level, they always have something right outside the elevators. When we arrived Saturday it was water and snacks and Sunday morning they had juice, coffee, fruit and pastries.

Photobucket

We ate breakfast at the hotel and it was wonderful. Then we headed down to the beach. The beach was nice and clean, no seaweed!

Photobucket

We walked down the beach and then on to the jetty.

Here is the San Luis from the jetty.

I could have stayed out here all day! I can't wait for it to warm up a little and we can bring Stephen to the beach.

Photobucket

Before we left the island we drove to east beach to check out Beachtown during the day.

Photobucket

The houses were amazing!

Photobucket

The beach was really nice too.

Photobucket

Then we headed out to my parents to pick up our baby boy! We were missing him SO much!

He was sleeping when we got there, but soon woke up. We didn't want to put him straight into his car seat so we stayed and played a while before heading home.

Photobucket

Photobucket

We were so thankful that my parents could keep him all weekend. He slept great in his crib at their house and did so well all weekend.

My parents sent us these pictures throughout the weekend and we loved them! We looked at them all the time!

Sunday when we got home, Stephen was being so funny. He was laughing at Stephen and would clench his fists. Here is a little video.

We had such a wonderful weekend! We missed our baby so much, but it was really nice to have some time alone.

Teeth

Here is an update on Stephen's two teeth. Aren't they cute? I love seeing them when he smiles!

Photobucket

It kind of looks like there is something under my nail, but there isn't. My nails are weird and have spots where they are almost clear instead of white. And clearly I need a manicure!

Oh and if you think that he just lays there and lets me pull his lip down to take a picture of his teeth, you'd be wrong. Here is what we went through to get that shot.
