6 Years

Stephen and I have been married for 6 years! It has been a great 6 years!

We had a fun weekend celebrating our anniversary. My parents kept Stephen all weekend so Friday night my mom came out to our house and picked him up. We went and saw The Vow. It was so good!

Saturday, we went to the wedding of our friends Jason and Giovanna at noon. It was so fun to be at a wedding on our anniversary!

Here is Jason and Gio and their first dance.

Here is a picture of Stephen and I with some of our friends, Elena and Pablo.

Here is a picture of Stephen and I from my cell phone.

After the reception we headed down to Galveston. It was raining when we left and rained on us until La Marque. But then the sky cleared off and was absolutely B-E-A-utiful!!

We stayed at the San Luis, which I just love! Here is the view from our room as soon as we arrived.

Don't let these pictures fool you though, it was cold!! And windy! We had planned on going to sit at the pool bar and have a drink before dinner, but it was way to cold! So we just hung out in our room for a while.

We stayed on the 10th floor, which is called Club 10. The rooms are different from all the other floors and have this really nice seating area.

And a TV in the bathroom mirror!

As we were leaving to go to dinner the sun was setting and was so gorgeous! I took these with my cell phone.

We had a wonderful dinner at Rudy and Pacos.

After dinner we drove around East beach for a while and found an area called Beachtown that we had never seen before. Then we went back to the San Luis. We were going to go sit at the bar and have a drink, but it was really crowded and we were pretty tired. We just went back to the room and were asleep by 10:30!!

Sunday we slept in a little, I think we got up around 8. We can't sleep in like we used to be able to. But since we get up every weekend at 7, sleeping until 8 was nice. We just lounged around the room for a while which was so nice. We usually have to pop up and tend to a baby so just laying around and doing nothing is nice.

Here was our view in the morning.

I took this with my cell phone. The sun was peaking out of the clouds.

It was still a little chilly, but we bundled up and went and sat on the balcony for a while. It was so wonderful to just listen to the waves. I LOVE the beach!

On the Club 10 level, they always have something right outside the elevators. When we arrived Saturday it was water and snacks and Sunday morning they had juice, coffee, fruit and pastries.

We ate breakfast at the hotel and it was wonderful. Then we headed down to the beach. The beach was nice and clean, no seaweed!

We walked down the beach and then on to the jetty.

I could have stayed out here all day! I can't wait for it to warm up a little and we can bring Stephen to the beach.

Before we left the island we drove to east beach to check out Beachtown during the day.

The houses were amazing!

The beach was really nice too.

Then we headed out to my parents to pick up our baby boy! We were missing him SO much!

He was sleeping when we got there, but soon woke up. We didn't want to put him straight into his car seat so we stayed and played a while before heading home.

We were so thankful that my parents could keep him all weekend. He slept great in his crib at their house and did so well all weekend.

My parents sent us these pictures throughout the weekend and we loved them! We looked at them all the time!

Sunday when we got home, Stephen was being so funny. He was laughing at Stephen and would clench his fists. Here is a little video.

We had such a wonderful weekend! We missed our baby so much, but it was really nice to have some time alone.
