Cooking

Monday, I made chili for the first time.  Growing up, our family never ate cornbread and chili as a meal and until just recently the thought of eating just cornbread and chili grossed me out.  I think I always thought chili had weird types of meat in it.  Anyways, Annette told me how she made her chili, which Stephen loves, so I decided to make it.

I used the 2 alarm chili kit and added sautéed onion and green pepper.  It was so easy and so good!!  And it made enough to put a batch in the freezer for another night!

Wednesday night, my boss Beth took us all to a cooking class at Sur La Table.  I have been wanting to do one of these for a long time, so I was really excited.  And let's be honest, a night out of the house without a baby in tow is always nice!

We had such a good time!  We got to make a few things, we learned a few things, and we observed a few things, and we got to eat our fabulous meal!
