We went to Palestine for the long Memorial Day Weekend. Stephen had to work Saturday, so Stephen and I rode up with Steve on Friday afternoon.
All of these flowers are the ones Steve grew in the greenhouse. They are all around the front gate and then the house and backyard. They look so good!

Saturday morning we played while we waited on everyone to get ready.

Stephen is obsessed with the mules and he now knows how to work them. He knows you turn the key, put in it gear, and then drive. He would climb in and out of every mule pretending to start them and then climb up in the seat and drive.

We played on the playsets some.

After he went down this slide, he saw Shelley come out so he ran over the a mule and climbed up, just like he had been doing all morning. Except he climbed in the back seat and it doesn't have a bar like he is used to so he lost his balance and fell. Steve and I were walking towards him and watched him tumble down and finally hit his head on the concrete. It was awful!! I knew he would be covered in blood when I picked him up.
Here is the aftermath.

After a few tears, he was ok and back to himself. He really caught himself with his legs and arms and his head was mainly just scratched up. He didn't get a bruise or black eye.
After that incident we headed down to the barn to hang out.

Stephen would not pet the rabbit, but Cameron was sitting in a chair holding it and Stephen walked over and put his hands on him and rubbed him a few times and was done. He never pet him again after that.

A chicken was laying an egg.

We left the barn and rode around some and ended up at the pond. It is super high right now!

This is the only other picture I took on Saturday. He looks so big!

Stephen and I went swimming after his nap for about an hour. The water was still a little cool. I am not ready for miserably hot summer days, but I am ready to spend time in the pool. Stephen came up Saturday after work and we were so thankful he was there!
Sunday we got up and took a long ride.

We have to find the cows. Stephen even remembers where they are on the property which for 350 acres is pretty impressive.

Then we went to the barn where everyone was hanging out.

Stephen liked chasing the rabbit, but there was no way he was touching it.

The turkey was so neat and wanted to be right with us. The red thing on his head (I have no idea what it is called) would change colors from a bright red to light. So weird!

Mike was building Cameron a dirt bike track so we all went to watch.

The three Stephen's drove the dump truck.

And Mike loaded it up with dirt.

Then we drove over the the track to dump the dirt.

Back for more dirt.

Stephen decided he would try the tractor out.

A true city boy. Working a tractor in flip flops.

I took Stephen back to the house for a nap while they continued working on the dirt bike track until the tractor broke.
When Stephen woke up from his nap we went to the lake. No one else wanted to go, so it was just Steve, Stephen, Stephen and I.

Stephen was obsessed with driving the boat. There is a cup holder down there and he claimed it for his drink and then sat right down and steered and pretended to change gears.

I was hoping we could get in the water, but it was pretty chilly.

Such a beautiful day!

Stephen took a nap with Papaw.

We ended the night on the back patio with fish tacos and homemade ice cream. What a great day!

Monday we headed home around lunch time and Stephen slept most of the way in the car which was great!
We went out to play on his playset once we got home.

Stephen could not believe he could hang by himself on the bar, which is why he is making this face.

We had such a fun weekend!
