After Versailles, we went back to the hotel room to shower and get ready for dinner.

The rain stopped before we headed to dinner which was so nice. We had a short walk to dinner and it was just gorgeous out.

We went to a very nice restaurant that had very limited seating upstairs, but a large cellar downstairs, where we sat.

Cameron had escargot in garlic butter as a starter.

Stephen and I shared french onion soup. It was wonderful!

This was Stephen's meal. It was filet of pork. It was the special that night and a few people also got it.

I had a steak.

And pomme frites, of course!

Cameron went with pig feet. Oh my!

For dessert I had my most favorite dessert ever, creme brûlée.

Mike ordered an after dinner drink of Grand Marnier. We learned that in the US, we drink orange Grand Marnier, but in Paris, they use orange Grand Marnier to cook with and drink blue Grand Marnier.

We all tried some and this was pretty much the reaction we all had:

It was super strong!!
We had SO much fun at dinner!! It was Shelley's birthday so we sang to her and just had the best time!
After dinner the Tamas', Stephen and I decided to walk some to see the Eiffel Tower.

We got pedi cabs to take us back to our hotel.

I did lighten those pictures some, but it stayed light in Paris very late. The sun didn't go down until 10:30 or 11 at night.
Our first day in Paris was amazing!
Stay tuned for Paris Day 2!
