Halloween was a little bittersweet this year. We normally spend Halloween at Steve and Nancy's house with all of the family and it is a ton of fun. However, this year since Steve is in the hospital, we didn't get to go over to their house. But it was also nice to be at our house and trick or treat in our neighborhood. It was fun seeing our neighbors dressed up and all running house to house. Still, we missed being with Steve and Nancy. Steve would have loved seeing Stephen dressed up and would have been giving him candy from the moment we arrived!
Stephen was a puppy this year and he was so cute!

I took the above photo with my phone, you know for social media reasons, and then tried to take some with my big camera. At that point (probably 2 minutes since he put it on), he was over the head piece. He kept saying it was hot and despite me asking for just one good picture, he wasn't having it.
I still think these pictures turned out good.

After a few pictures it was time for trick or treating.

It had rained all day long, but turned into a beautiful night.

About halfway through trick or treating, Daddy met up with us. Stephen was so happy to see him! And I was happy for someone else to carry the puppy since I had been carrying him for a while at this point.

We were almost done and he got tired and laid his head on Daddy's shoulder. So sweet!

Once we got home, though, he perked right up and inhaled as much candy as he could.

He has never really eaten much candy, so he loved trying new things and of course he loved it all!

All in all, it was a great Halloween. Now, we just need Papaw to get better!
