3 Years

Stephen,

I can not believe you are three years old!   The past three years have been the best years of my life.  You are truly such a joy and bring so much happiness to not just Daddy and I, but everyone around you.   You are so funny and smart.  You make us laugh every day.  At night your Daddy and I talk about all of the funny and cute things you did.  I often tell Daddy I wish we had video cameras in our house all the time so they could capture all of the cute and funny things you do.   I am just trying to soak in each day with you and be present so I can remember these days.  We are constantly amazed at the things you remember.  You are so smart!

You are so excited to meet your baby brother.  You talk about him all the time and what he will do and the things you will do together.  You kiss my belly and tell Avery hi and good night. I know you are going to be the best big brother!

We love you so much Stephen!  You are the funniest, sweetest little boy and we are so incredibly blessed to be your parents!

Here are some updates about you at age 3:

Wake up between 7 and 7:30 each day.  At home, naps for 2-3 hours.  At school, naps for about an hour.  Goes to bed between 7:30 and 8 each night.

Favorite foods are all fruits, green beans, hamburgers, hotdogs, eggs, cheese, yogurt, cheerios, crackers.  You love to dip food into anything, ranch, ketchup, etc.  You do not like chicken or steak.

You are completely potty trained.  It was such an easy process and you did so great!

You gave up your paci recently.  This was hard for you, but you did really good.  We had a few hard nights when you wanted it back, but it wasn't too bad.

You sleep in big boy bed with lots of blankets and animals.  Woof woof is your favorite animal and you have a small blue lovie blankie that you hold when you fall asleep.

You are such a good helper!  You always throw things away in the trash and put your dishes away in the sink.  You love to unload the silverware from the dishwasher.  You insist on helping me move clothes from the washer to dryer or from the dryer to couch and also love to help fold the clothes.  You have a small broom and vacuum and always sweep and vacuum right with me.

You are so polite and always say please and thank you.  Lately you have been always been holding doors open for me and even though I think they are too heavy for your sometimes, you insist that I walk in first.

You love to talk in the car.  We can't have the radio on because you talk to the whole time.  You ask us what things are, where things are, etc.  You love to tell us when the light turns green and we can go.  You don't like it if we turn right on red and don't wait for the green light.  You know which was is left and right and tell us which direction to go.  You love it when we see a school bus or cows.

You are 35 pounds and 80% in height and weight.

We had these pictures taken right before your 3rd birthday and they capture exactly who you are at this age.  Cute, sweet and fun!
