Eating hummus


Stephen is such a good eater! He is such a healthy kid and eats such healthy food. As you all know Stephen and I both struggle with our weight and I would give anything for my kids to not have the same struggles we do. For that reason, I am pretty adamant about him eating healthy food, no sugar or processed food, no juice, etc. Just real food! I get a lot of slack for it, but really I don't care. I believe it is what is best for him and I am going to do whatever is best for him and don't really care what anyone else thinks. Having said all of that, he does get treats occasionally.

So, this week I bought some hummus and gave him some sliced bell pepper to dip it in. He LOVED it!! I don't know if he loved the hummus more or being able to dip his food in something, but either way, he loved it!

If you don't know what hummus is, it is chick peas that have been pureed with garlic, olive oil and a few seasonings. It sounds gross, but it is really so good and so healthy for you.
