Weekend with Gran E and Papa G

Stephen was working Saturday and then going to play poker Saturday night and golf Sunday morning, so I decided to go out to my parents house for the night.

Saturday, we met my friend Ki for lunch at the Nordstrom cafe.  It was so good and I always love getting to see Ki!  Stephen also loves Ki.  Whenever we see her he runs right up to her and she is so sweet to him!

We then went out to my parents house and Stephen wanted to play outside. They have lots of fun things to play with and it is so nice just letting him go wherever he wants.

He walked down to the mailbox with Papa G to get the mail and newspaper and brought the newspaper back all by himself!

After all that hard work, he needed a little break.

Sunday morning he wanted to go back outside right after he got his bottle.

He found this beach ball in the laundry room and had so much fun playing with it. (If your wondering why there was a beach ball in the laundry room, my mom decorated the room with a beach theme and has this ball sitting on top of the refrigerator)

He went down to get the paper with Papa G, but decided to take his cart today because Papa G said the Sunday paper was really big and heavy.

He stopped pushing the cart towards the end of the driveway and drug the paper back to the cart.

He kept stopping and reaching in the bag to touch the paper. Silly boy!

Papa G went to pick up a ball for Stephen and noticed an earth worm. He told Stephen to come over so he could show it to him, but as we bent down to look at it closer, we realized it was a snake! A tiny snake that looked just like an earthworm from above. It was crazy! I took a few pictures, but it still looks like an earthworm in the pictures. Believe me though, this was a snake. When my dad touched it to kill it is brought it's head up just like snakes do.

My dad killed it and we continued playing, hoping mama wasn't near!

Stephen loves this tee ball set, but he always hits the ball off with his hand. So Papa G showed him how to use the bat and he really started understanding.

Here is a video of him playing:

We left after lunch and met Stephen so he could take Stephen because I had a baby shower to go to. He took him back to his friend Aaron's house so they could watch the Texans game. Their house is not baby proofed, so I don't think Stephen watched much of the game- ha!

I went to a birthday for Aarons fiancé, Janna. They are decorating baby Harrison's room in a jungle theme and had the cutest cake:

And of course, we got Harrison some Trumpette socks!

It was an exhausting weekend, but also so much fun!!
