My poor baby is sick. His nose has been stopped up for weeks now, just like everyone else in Houston, darn ragweed! He will randomly pull on his ears but it's never consistent and he has been acting normal and sleeping fine, so I didn't think much about it.
This week has been awful though! Monday he started refusing to nap. He wouldn't even sit or lay in his crib, he would just stand there and cry. I felt so bad for him and it caused me so much stress! Tuesday afternoon we went to the doctor. He said his ears weren't infected, but he did have a lot of thick mucous in them and they were probably hurting him quite a bit. He gave us some ear drops to help and told us to give him tylenol.
The car ride home from the doctor was horrible!! We were already in normal rush hour traffic and thankfully Stephen was sleeping. Then, we hit dead stop traffic. We didn't even move for 30 minutes. After not moving for a few minutes, Stephen woke up and started screaming. He screamed for the next 45 minutes until we got home. It was awful!! I just want to make him feel better!
Even though he didn't nap all week, he did sleep through the night, which we were so thankful for. Thursday and Friday he napped a little with Blessing downstairs, but all week he refused to nap in his crib.
Friday afternoon I got my big camera out because I realized I hadn't taken any pictures all week. Stephen wanted a toy that was in the chair so I put him up in the chair and snapped these pictures.
Doesn't he look so sad? You can tell he just doesn't feel good.
It's been a rough week and I am so ready for the weekend and just want to love on my boy and make him feel better!!
