36 Weeks

3 more weeks and 3 days until we get to meet our baby boy!  I can't believe it!  Today is really hit me that we have THREE weeks until our baby is here!  Four weeks sounded so far away, but three weeks sounds like tomorrow!!!

Now I am stressing big time because we have SO much to do!  The nursery is completely empty except for the crib being put together.  I have to wash all of his clothes, decorate, buy a few new things, AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

This week was really, really rough and I am so glad it is over!

Monday while I was working I started feeling sick and then I felt like I was going to pass out.  The blood was draining from my face, my ears started ringing, my arms and feet went numb.  I was so scared I was going to pass out and no one was home with me.  It took all the energy I had to just text Stephen and tell him to come home that something was wrong.

I slowly made my way to the couch and felt so weak and like I couldn't stay awake.  Stephen got home and called the doctor and they said as long as I wasn't bleeding or having contractions and could feel the baby move, then everything was ok, and that I was either getting sick or dehydrated.  I slept all afternoon and woke up and drank a bunch of water and ate a good dinner.  I felt better, but still not 100%.

Tuesday I was feeling a little better, but still just felt exhausted.  I made sure to drink a bunch of water and ate healthy.  Tuesday around 4, I started to have some contractions.  They didn't hurt and weren't consistent so I knew I wasn't in labor, but they were uncomfortable.  By 6, they were coming every 10 minutes and were very uncomfortable.  I was distracted by making dinner and putting Stephen to bed and by the time I got him to bed and got back downstairs I realized they had stopped.

Finally on Wednesday I was feeling better.  I realized that I have to take better care of myself.  I haven't been sleeping good for 2 months and working full time and taking care of a 3 year old by myself most days has definitely taken a toll on me.   Plus some days I do not drink enough water.  I think I was just exhausted and dehydrated.

On top of that work has been stressful and doing simple things is getting so hard for me.  Just doing laundry and cleaning the kitchen wears me out!  I know having a newborn will bring it's own challenges and I will have to take some time to recover, but I can not wait to feel normal again!

Here is my 36 week bump!

Ice Cream and Pool

Here are our pictures from last weekend.

Stephen has been having a few accidents at school since he switched rooms, so Friday morning, Stephen told him if he didn't have any accidents that we would go get ice cream when I picked him up. Thankfully he didn't have any accidents, so we went and got ice cream!

He chose chocolate with gummy bears and M&M's.  He had already eaten the M&M's by the time I sat down and started taking pictures.

Saturday we went to go see Mamaw's new house.  She moved out of my parents house last week and now lives in an apartment complex for retired individuals.  Her place is really nice and I was glad we got to see it.  She then rode out to my parents house with us so we could check out the progress on the pool!

We got there just in time so Stephen could see them doing some digging.  He loved watching them!

We ate lunch and then Stephen went down for a nap.  When he woke up we went to my parents neighborhood pool.  When we got back the guys that had been digging were gone so Yaya, Papa, and Stephen walked down into the pool.

My Dad sent me this picture on Tuesday after they added the gunite.  It looks so good!  We all can't wait for it to be finished!

Sunday was a low key day.  I slept in and then we went to brunch.  We attempted to go to the park but it is just too hot outside for that right now!  We came home and played and Stephen took a nap.  When he woke up we put the crib together in the nursery and then went to the grocery store.

After dinner, the boys cuddled and watched Wipe Out.

It was a pretty relaxing weekend!!

Avery's 35 Week Ultrasound

We had Avery's 35 week ultrasound last Friday and it was so good to see him.  I was really hoping we would get some better pictures than we did, but he was moving around like crazy and they said it is harder to see them the bigger they are.  We had an ultrasound with Stephen at 32 weeks and got some great pictures so I was disappointed we didn't get the same for Avery.

His finger:

This one is hard to see, but his profile:

He had his foot up by his head.  Poor baby has got to be running out of room in there!

 photo Avery35WeekUltrasound-3_zps779cf88c.jpg

I did get to see his whole face and oh my gosh it was so neat!  He was moving so much though and didn't show it again, but here is a picture of his lips and chin.

His profile again:

We also found out that right now he weighs about 6 pounds which is in the 90%.  My doctor thinks he will be 8.5 pounds or 9 pounds.

I can not wait to meet this baby boy!!  It was so wonderful to see him and hear that everything is good!

Our Weekend

I've really enjoyed documenting our weekends.  I used to take pictures all throughout the week and weekend, but lately our weeks are just so busy and not very exciting, but we always do fun things on the weekend.

These pictures are from two weekends ago.

Thursday afternoon, Stephen's school called and told me he had pink eye.  Lovely!  Thankfully our doctor just called in eye drops after I explained his symptoms and we didn't have to make a trip to the doctor.

I couldn't send him to school Friday since he was contagious so he stayed home with me while I worked.  I had a doctors appointment that afternoon so I started work early and Stephen went into work late, so that definitely helped.

He played on the guest bed near me with his magna tiles and watched Caliou and other shows on the laptop.

Around 1:00, my doctor's nurse called and said she was going into an emergency c-section and had to cancel all afternoon appointments.  That was nice since I had started work early that day, I got to stop early and we didn't have to go to my appointment.

Stephen needed to get some energy out since he had been cooped up inside all day.  Having pink eye is hard because he feels fine, but we couldn't go anywhere because he is contagious.  It would have been great to go to the pool, but that was definitely out, and it's way too hot to go to the park.

So we played out front for a little while.  He did bubbles and played with his truck.

We weren't outside long and my feet started swelling bad from the heat.  I was sitting in a lawn chair, but got out a folding chair to put my feet up on.  Stephen saw me do this and did the same all by himself.

 photo PinkEyePoolBounceHouse-6_zps45e936eb.jpg

We came inside to cool down and he watched some of Monsters Inc.

 photo PinkEyePoolBounceHouse-7_zpsb135b15a.jpg

There were some scary parts that I wasn't prepared for.  He does this when he is scared.  We didn't watch much more of this movie.

 photo PinkEyePoolBounceHouse-8_zpscb7926ad.jpg

Then we did his Caliou puzzle a few times.  He is really good at puzzles.

 photo PinkEyePoolBounceHouse-10_zps26664fa3.jpg

A change of clothes and then we went to the backyard to play some.  He found this marker board in my office and wanted to bring it out.

 photo PinkEyePoolBounceHouse-11_zps5493fa21.jpg

When he was watching Caliou earlier, Caliou was having pancakes, so he said he wanted pancakes too.  So we made pancakes and sausage for dinner.

Then he got a bath in Mommy's tub.

 photo PinkEyePoolBounceHouse-13_zps28b55a88.jpg

Honestly, it was a pretty exhausting day for me.  Trying to work and entertain a 3 year old while 8 months pregnant is tough!  But it was a fun day!

Friday night was hard.   Stephen would not go to sleep.  Some nights I have to go up once after I put him to bed and lay with him again or something, but Friday night he would scream and cry as soon as I left his room.  Finally around 9:30, I let him come downstairs and sit with me and watch TV.  Daddy got home soon after that and they played for a while and then cuddled on the couch and then he finally went to sleep around 10:30.  It was so unlike him.

I knew that Saturday we HAD to get out of our house before we both went crazy and Stephen needed to get a bunch of energy out.  Since we had been doing the eye drops since Thursday night, I knew he wasn't contagious anymore.  I decided to take him to a bounce house place in Alvin that had open hours on the weekends.  Most bounce house places are closed to the public on the weekends because they have birthday parties.

He had a blast and definitely got his energy out.

We stopped at the Frobergs farmers market on the way home.  Stephen saw these green beans and immediately wanted to get them.

 photo PinkEyePoolBounceHouse-22_zps91c4828d.jpg

He loved putting them in the bag and carrying them around.

 photo PinkEyePoolBounceHouse-25_zps979008e1.jpg

We went home and he took a nap and then we headed to the pool.  He wanted to play at this park next to the pool before we went in.  He misses going to the park, but it is just way to hot for me to be out at the park right now, so we never go.  But since we were about to cool off at the pool, I let him play for about 20 minutes.

 photo PinkEyePoolBounceHouse-26_zps9040c01c.jpg

We went to the frog pool and he had a great time!   There was hardly anyone there, so he had a blast throwing him toys down the slide and going down over and over.  And I got to just sit there and relax and watch him!

Stephen has been dying to jump off the diving board and kept asking me to do it on Saturday.  Normally, I would feel confident catching him, but being pregnant, I am not.  So I told him we would come back to the pool on Sunday with Daddy so he could jump off the diving board.

So Sunday we headed back to the frog pool.  It's the only pool in our neighborhood that will let the parents catch the kids off of the diving board.  As soon as we got there, he wanted to do it.  He climbed up, walked out a little bit and then got scared and wouldn't jump.  He says he needs to be a little bigger.  I was glad that he even tried and would have been shocked if he had actually done it!

We played for a while at the frog pool.

We picked up sandwiches for lunch, went home for naps, and then went to the grocery store that afternoon.  It was a nice Sunday!
