We had a great weekend and I actually took a bunch of pictures, most on my big camera!
I have gotten in a bad habit of letting Stephen eat in the living room, but I'm trying to get him to eat at the table. Friday night our compromise was that if he ate at his little table he could watch Caliou on the computer. Lately, I am just so tired by the time he goes to bed and my body just hurts so much that I can't clean the kitchen, do laundry, etc. so I use this time to get those things done. I know we should be eating together at the big table, but for right now, this is what works for us!

I told him I would cook whatever he wanted and he choose eggs, grapes, and cheese. He also had toast that he already ate.

Saturday morning we went to ride the train at Herman Park. Stephen was so excited and loved it!

I love his hand on his leg here.

After riding the train we had to go to the doctor so he could get a shot. We delayed his vaccinations after his 4 month shots and are trying to get caught up. Our doctors office is open on Saturdays for emergencies, but said that we can come in just to get a shot.
He found a football book and read it while we waited.

He did so good during his shot! I was holding his hands and making funny faces at him and then he screamed, "OW", but then it was over and he was fine. No tears and the sucker he got made his day!
We went home and he went down for a nap.
When he woke up from his nap, it was raining outside and I wanted him to just take it easy because of his shot.
We watched Toy Story and painted, colored, and played.
Here's what I get when I ask for a smile:

Let's try this again. Stephen can you look at me and smile?

Ok Mom, I will smile, but I am NOT going to look at you!

Then we moved on to stickers. Finding the perfect one is a science.

He got a new coloring book and magic markers for his birthday.

Ok, one smile. I'll take it!

He was done with arts and crafts, so we moved to the living room to finish the movie and play.

There was a dog chasing Buzz and was about to get him and he covered his mouth like this.

I asked him if that was scary and he said yes.
He got this Buzz Lightyear toy for his birthday and loves it! He loves Toy Story right now and has seen all three movies.

His bandaid. He kept telling me his bandaid hurt. By the end of the day Saturday he was limping pretty bad and wouldn't even let us touch his thigh anywhere. Poor thing!!

Then we played with Magna Tiles. These are the BEST toy ever!!!! He has been playing with them every single day and today played with them for over an hour and didn't want to stop for dinner.

Another "scary" part of the movie.

He gets so thrilled with himself when he builds something.

I couldn't resist snapping a picture of his little bum. Which reminds me I need to blog about potty training.

Now I know everyone thinks their child is a genius, but ours really is- haha!! He only has 4 big tiles and he laid them out. He was complaining to me that he needed two more so I said, "sorry buddy, you only have four" and left it at that. A minute later he did this and said, "look Mommy, me made more". That's pretty genius for a 3 year old, don't you think?

My parents are building a pool right now and he told me this was Yaya's pool.

Saturday night we met Stephen for dinner. We have been doing really good eating at home, so it was a nice change to go out to eat. Sunday was going to be a busy day, so I went ahead and went to the grocery store Saturday night and Stephen took Stephen home to get him to bed.
Saturday was such a great day. I always feel like I need to plan something for us to do or we have to go swimming, to the park, etc. and even though we did go somewhere that morning, I was reminded that it's ok to just stay at home.
Sunday we got up and headed out to my parents house. We have an extra TV and Mamaw is moving out this week, so we went to take it to her.
My Mom got these puzzles out from when Aaron and I were kids. Stephen loves them!

We played, ate lunch, and then Stephen took a nap.
Later that afternoon we met Annette, Jim, Marci, Zach and Sierra at the house they are building in Conroe. Zach is our nephew and is in the Army and was home for a week so we wanted to see him and meet his new wife, Sierra. They did not have a wedding and live far so we had never met her.
We walked around the house, almost died of heat exhaustion, and then went to dinner.
Our weekends always go by way too quickly, but this was definitely a good one filled with fun, relaxing and family!
