Avery James

Our baby boy has a name...AVERY JAMES!

I am so excited to finally decide on a name and tell everyone.  It was hard to choose a name this time because we always knew that our first son would be Stephen III.  We also had a girl name picked out.  So when we found out this baby was a boy, I had to start thinking about names.

The most important thing to me was that he had some sort of family influence in his name from my side of the family.  Since Stephen is named after his Dad and Grandpa, I always knew I wanted our second baby to have a special family name from my side.

It turns out his entire name is a special name from my side of the family.

Avery was my great grandfather's name (my Dad's mother's father).  He passed away when I was three, so I don't remember him, but I did grow up hearing stories about him and the bond we had.  I have always loved the name Avery and am so excited to name our son Avery.

James is a family name passed down through my family.  Both of my grandfathers, my Dad, and my brother are all named James.  James is all of their first names (James Harold Ellison, James Fletcher Edds, James Gregory Edds, and James Aaron Edds).  My Dad and brother go by their middle names.  So, we decided to use James as his middle name.

I can not wait to meet Avery James!
