I turned 31 on July 13th. My birthday was on a Saturday and Stephen was off! How perfect is that!
That morning we headed out to The Woodlands to do some shopping. I got to shop at Pottery Barn and Pottery Barn Kids without any complaints and he even let me buy everything I wanted too! My birthday was staring out great!!
We went for an early lunch at Jerry Built burgers.

This burger was SO good!

Stephen had an ice cream sandwich. They make them fresh when you order them.

And this little guy got a cookie.

Then we went out to my parents house and let Stephen nap. After he woke up we went outside to ride the roller coaster and play with the water table.

Stephen would run next to him, which he loved and would giggle the whole way.

He kept wanting to go backwards so they were having a little pow wow trying to explain why he needed to go forwards not backwards. Have you ever tried to reason with a toddler? Yea, not so easy!

Since the mean adults wouldn't let him go backwards, he decided to go play with the water table, which was a nice way to cool down. It was so hot!

He loves pouring water on Gran E's feet.

He dumped so much water out and needed to re-fill it.

Then he needed to water the plants... and the concrete.

Giving Gran E the shark:

And telling her to fill it up:

This boy is so demanding!

That night Stephen and I went to dinner at PF Changs and then went to a movie and saw Grown Ups 2. It was such a nice night and the perfect way to end my birthday.
We spent the night at my parents house so we could celebrate some more on Sunday! I am one lucky girl!
Of course we had to ride the roller coaster some more on Sunday.

Papa G shocked us all when he did this and I just happened to catch it on camera.

Uncle Aaron and Aunt Jessi showed up. Uncle Aaron was put in charge of catching Stephen and pushing him back up.

Of course he pushed him faster than anyone which was so much fun and from then on he was the only one who could push Stephen. I don't think Papa G and Daddy minded the break!

He would run next to him.

And then push him back up.

Then we went back inside for lunch, cake and presents.

My mom got this fun glass for my cake and made a dirt cake. It was huge!

That night we met Steve and Nancy for dinner at Longhorn Steakhouse, which was so nice of them.
I had such a wonderful birthday thanks to my wonderful family! It was low key and just perfect!
Thirty was such a great year for me. I can't wait to see what thirty- one has in store! I think my thirties are going to some of the best years yet!
