Tuesday we were in Villefranche and would be going to Eze, Monaco and Monte Carlo. This was the view from our room that morning. So beautiful!

We were tendered so we had to take a small boat to shore.

This is what we saw when we got to land. So beautiful! Everything we saw today was so beautiful, this was only the beginning.

We had set up a private, half day tour today so we met our guides and got on our way. We were headed to Eze, but stopped at this overlook to view this:

Isn't is so beautiful?

The water was crystal clear and we all wished we were down there swimming in it.

Our cruise ship.

We made it to Eze and had to park and walk to the rest of the way up. Steve and Nancy couldn't walk that much, so they stayed back in the little town while we walked up.

My husband. I love this man and loved being with him for 13 days!

Stephen and I:

Mary and Gary:

Shelley, Taylor and Cameron. Mike was sick this day so he didn't come with us.

The walk up was so pretty! Eze is such a charming little town.

We finally made our way to the top. There was an overlook area. This is Taylor and one of our guides, Stefan. Stefan was great!

Stefan took a picture of us all.

We walked back down and started on our way to Monaco.

We made it to Monaco. We parked and walked up to the top of the city. Monaco was so pretty it almost didn't seem real. Everything was just perfect and I felt like we were walking around a movie set. It's hard to believe people really live here.

This is the church of Monaco.

Princess Grace and her husband, the Prince of Monaco are both buried here. This is one of Grace's bones. I thought that was pretty strange.

Princess Grace is buried here.

Rainier, Prince of Monaco is buried here.

We walked a little further to the castle, where Prince Andrew lives. If the flag is flying, it means he is there.

The castle is in an area with lots of trees, a few restaurants and shops. You can also overlook Monaco from here.

There were so many yachts in Monaco.

This is Monte Carlo. Monaco is made up of 5 districts. Monte Carlo is one of them. You can also see the Grand Prix track from here. The road right next to the pool is where the grand prix track starts. The area near the pool is also a famous scene from Iron Man. We got to drive quite a bit of the grand prix course. I have a video I will try to post soon.

The green dome you see is the Monte Carlo Casino.

One of the streets near the castle.

Walking back to the car.

Next we went to Monte Carlo. This is the side of the casino.

It is right on the water.

We walked around to the front. It is right across the street from the Hotel de Paris.

Monte Carlo Casino. It was too early for us to go in which was a bummer. Stephen really wanted to just play one hand here. But it is still neat to say we've been here.

From the casino, looking out.

We only had a half day tour, so we left Monte Carlo and headed back to Villefranche.
This is the small town of Villefranche. I loved all the colors of the buildings.

Everyone else went back to the boat, but Stephen and I decided to stay in Villefranche for lunch and to walk around. We found the cutest restaurant to eat at.

We thought everyone else had gone back to the boat, but a few minutes later Taylor, Shelley and Mary came walking up and joined us for lunch.

I had the best sandwich here! I seriously have to find a way to re-create this sandwich, it was so good! It was prosciutto, mozzarella, lettuce, tomato and pesto on a french baguette.

Such a great place for lunch.

We did some shopping and then headed back to the boat. I took these pictures from the boat as we were heading back.

When we got back, we went up to Steve and Nancy's room. This was on their balcony.

I loved our day in Villefranche, Eze, and Monaco. As I mentioned, it was SO BEAUTIFUL! Plus it was just a nice, relaxing day and the weather was perfect.
This was also a great day because Mary, Gary, Cameron and Stephen all got their luggage! Yay!! It was a happy day. Taylor got his luggage the next day.
