When I stepped out of bed on Saturday, my entire body hurt. We had done a lot of walking yesterday and my feet were in pain! But once we got moving, we were ok. The entire day I found that when we were moving, I felt good, but when we stopped, it was hard to get going again.
We set out around 9 am and found a cafe to have breakfast at. We had all planned to do our own thing today, so it was just Stephen and I.

I had some Earl Grey tea and a croissant. This croissant was so amazing!! Stephen has an omelet and coke light. I let him have a bite of my croissant and he agreed it was amazing!

After breakfast we made our way to the metro.

We took the metro to a street called Rue Cler. There is a popular market on Rue Cler where the locals shop. Locals tend to buy food for just a day or two. Here they can get product, cheese, meat, bread, pastries, and flowers. It is especially popular on Saturdays as everyone is buying their food for the weekend.

There was lots of produce:

Beautiful flowers:

The fruit looked amazing!

Pastries:

And meat:

I bought some raspberries that were so good!

They also had a few restaurants. This restaurant had the cutest sandwiches. You can't really tell in this picture, but they were tiny, like one or two bites!

I fell in love with Paris even more after walking down Rue Cler. I just felt so inspired by the fresh food and lack of processed food and fast food. I would love to walk to the market a few times a week to buy food and then go home and cook it all.
We then took the metro to the bottom of Champs Elysees and started our long walk to the Arc de Triomphe. We also did some shopping along the way.

This is Stephen's look of "are you taking more pictures?", but of course he never says that, he just turns back around and continues on his way. Or gets out of view of my camera! He is incredibly patient with my obsessive picture taking self! In fact, he is an incredibly patient person in general. I realized that on this trip, he is so patient and kind to people even when they are being rude and selfish.

Again, note how busy this street is. I will tell you more about that soon, I promise!

There were a bunch of car showrooms on Champs Elysees which was strange. Citroen is a European brand that seemed pretty popular. Here is their showroom:

Each of these red platforms had a car on it.

There was also a movie theatre on Champs Elysees. We thought it was funny that they were calling the Hangover 3, Very Bad Trip3.

Stephen stopped at every watch store to dream! He loves watches!

We crossed the street and got a great view of the Arc de Triomphe. We were slowly but surely making our way there.

This is looking back from the Arc, which is where we had come from.

Laduree!!

I was so excited to go to this store!

The line was long, but moved quickly.

Look at all of these lovely pastries!

I got a box of 8 mini macrons. I should also clarify here that these are French macrons. Here is the US, we think of macrons being coconut and eggs whites, but these are wafer like cookies with buttercream frosting in the middle. They are delicious!

They also had lots of other beautiful pastries. They were all so perfect!

After Laduree we made our way to the flagship Louis Vuitton store.

It was huge inside! 5 stories of heaven!

Paris Day 3 continues as we finally make our way to the Arc de Triomphe.
