I have a bunch of random pictures from my cell phone and a few from my big camera, so I am just going to combine them all into this post.
In this post, I mentioned I wanted to re-create the amazing sandwich I had for lunch in Villefranche and I got pretty close. Of course it wasn't as good, but it will do until I get back to France one day. (My husband just laughed out loud! I have some work to do regarding a future trip to France!)
One day after work, I was doing something in our bedroom and Stephen wanted to lay in our bed and watch Barney. He is never like this. He is usually full of energy when I get off work, so I let him lay there for a while and just watch Barney. He watched the whole 30 minute show and then was ready to play.
We have been spending a ton of time at the pool. Stephen loves the water just like his mommy and we have so much fun at the pool together!
We have been eating watermelon like crazy! Our family of 3 each has been eating 3 watermelons a week and we could eat more if I would buy more!
I took this one of July 4th when we were at Steve and Nancy's. Stephen is obsessed with beach towels and loves to be wrapped up in them. He hates taking them off to get in the car.
I was off Friday, July 5th and had planned for us to go to the beach. I got us all packed and then went to load the car only to see that Stephen still had the car seat from the day before when we went to Steve and Nancy's. And he was at work. So that meant we weren't going to the beach or anywhere else that day.
I decided that since it was still early and not that hot yet, I would ride my bike to the park and let Stephen play, then we would go swimming at the pool right next to the park and that would cool us off and I would be ok to ride home.
We played at the park for about 45 minutes and the pool never opened and then I realized I read the schedule wrong and they wouldn't open until 1 pm not 10 am like I had thought. Ugh! We were so hot and I was dreading the ride back.
We were both so hot and tired once we got back home. It is about a 2 mile bike ride each way and we left the park around 10:45, so it was HOT! I stripped Stephen down to his diaper and turned on Barney while I made lunch and he just vegged out!
Stephen loves these dive rings and loves wearing them on his head. We were going to the grocery store this day and when I told him we were leaving he ran to get his dive rings and put them on this head. I could not convince him to leave them at home.
By the time we got to the store, he was ok with leaving them in the car.
There were samples of cheese out with crackers and he wanted a cracker so I gave him one. I thought he was done chewing it when I went to take his picture, but apparently not.
This week he didn't seem to be feeling well. He wasn't eating much and didn't have as much energy as he normally does. I know his two year old molars are coming in so it could have been that, but it also seemed like he may have been getting a cold. I gave him a big dose of vitamin C and we just relaxed and rested all afternoon. I love these pictures because he is playing with his hair. He does this when he sleeps. He grabs it right in the back of his head and twirls it around his fingers.
After a day or two he was feeling better and back to himself.
