Last Saturday we went to the beach with my parents. There were scattered showers forecasted, but thankfully it never rained on us. It turned out to be a gorgeous day and we had so much fun!
I bought this pack of little water bottles to take because Stephen loves them so much. He insisted on carrying them from the car to the house.

It was such a beautiful day at the beach! I love this picture because of the shadow of the bird.

Stephen is so funny and has so many "signs" for everything. This is his sign for sit down.

But make no mistake, he is not the one who is going to sit down here. He wanted me to sit down. He would not sit on the sand. He HATES the sand. He only likes walking on the wet sand, so he would either convince one of us to carry him or literally run to the water, avoiding all the sea weed.
My mom and I sat in the sand playing with shovels, buckets, water, etc. but he would not sit down and touch the sand. He just stood there watching us and then finally sat in my lap.
We did talk a nice walk down the beach and he loved that as long as he was touching the wet sand.
Peaches and watermelon! My two favorite summer fruits! We are eating them like crazy in our house right now!

The water was SO clear. When we were waist deep, we could still see our feet. That is unheard of in Galveston. Stephen was filling this water bottle up with water from the beach and then would pour it on Gran E and Papa G's feet. Look how clear it is! This is NOT Ozarka water. It is water from Galveston!

Such a beautiful and fun day!

Here was the sunset that night. So pretty!

Tuesday afternoon we played in the backyard. Our backyard is so nice in the afternoons. We would be dying from the heat in 5 minutes in the front yard, but our backyard is really enjoyable!
Stephen played in his water table and got his clothes all wet so he took them off.

Thursday I took him to get a haircut. He was NOT happy about it at first and clung to me like she was trying to kill him. But another worked brought over some bubbles and a sucker and he calmed down. He would not wear the smock though, so he got hair all over himself!

The lady asked if I wanted it trimmed, and I said a little more than just a trim. So she said, like medium short, and I said that sounded good. Well, it turned out WAY shorter than I wanted. Oh well, it's just hair and will grow back! Stephen likes it though.
I've been wanting to get him a few new books, so we went over to Barnes and Noble and discovered they have a train table. He was so excited about it and squealed when he saw it! He played and played with it! He would make his version of the choo choo sound, which sounds like heeee heeee. Then he would stop every now and then and laugh and clap his hands. He loved it!

They also have a stage with chairs that he loved! He was wearing his crocs and kept losing them.

I can't believe my baby will be 2 in 2 days!! I am so lucky to be his Mama!!
