I hope you all are enjoying our vacation photos and stories! I am having fun editing all of the pictures.
Today I am going to post about what we have been up to since we've been back.
We got home late Sunday night. Stephen had to work Monday and on top of that he was starting a new job. He is still with the same company, but is now the Service Manager at Advantage BMW in Midtown. I am so proud of him!
Thankfully I was off Monday and was able to get us unpacked, most of our laundry done and went grocery shopping. That afternoon, my parents brought Stephen back home. I was so excited to see him! Stephen told me to take a video of him coming in, so I set up the camera and recorded it. I also took a video that night when Stephen got home.
I was so happy to see my baby!! If you turn the video up at the beginning you can hear him yelling "mama". I could hear him all the way in the living room. So sweet! And I love how excited he was to see his dada. He wanted to go upstairs to play with his kitchen and I kept telling him to wait until daddy got home, so that is why he ran to the stairs as soon as Stephen walked in the door.
Thursday afternoon Stephen woke up from his nap crying. If Blessing doesn't go get him after a few minutes, I go get him and take him downstairs to her. She wasn't getting him (she lets him cry longer than I do), so I opened my office door to get him and heard him saying, "mama" in the saddest voice. It made my heart sink. I went into his room and he was standing in his crib and held his arms out for me. When I picked him up he wrapped his arms around my neck and laid his head on my shoulder. It was so sweet and I knew he had been missing me. He never does that without me asking for a "big hug". After a few minutes he pointed back at his crib so I gave him his paci and asked if he wanted to lay back down and he shook his head yes. I put him in his crib and he laid right down, so I covered him up and blew him a kiss. It was a really sweet moment that I wanted to remember, but it also made me sad that he was missing me. It's moments like this that make being a working mom so very hard.
Thursday afternoon we went to the pool! This was our first time at our neighborhood pool and it was great!

Our neighborhood is huge and has 4 pools. This one has a little kid area that has a beach entry and is only 1 1/2 feet deep. The frog slide and buckets are so much fun! Stephen loved this!

Jet lag hit us hard this week! We could barely stay awake until 9 o'clock most nights! On the plus side, we had no problem waking up in the morning! After some rest this weekend though, we are both now caught up.
Friday night Stephen and I went to Target to get a birthday gift for a party we were going to on Saturday. I let Stephen walk with me instead of putting him in the basket and he did SO good! We saw a little boy with a water gun at the pool Thursday and he really wanted it so I let him get his one from the dollar spot. He carried it the whole time we were in Target!

Friday night I made Stephen a grilled cheese for dinner with a side of strawberries. He loves this meal! But he refused to eat it. I figured he just wasn't hungry so I let him get out of his chair and he came right over to me and started eating my salad! My parents said he ate a lot of salad with them.

Saturday we went to Everett's' 3rd birthday. I took these pictures as we were leaving and I love them so much!!! We got this shirt for Stephen in Eze, France.

Oh my goodness I love this boy!

I love those pictures! They are my new favorites!
The party was at our friends house and they had a pool, bounce house, slip n slide, and more fun things to do. I didn't take any pictures because I was watching Stephen the whole time and left my phone inside.
The party was from 11:30-2:30, which is nap time. Stephen was signing "eat" when we got in the car, so I gave him some goldfish. He ate them for a while and then fell asleep, with a goldfish in his hand. So sweet!

My dad needed to get his car serviced and since they know an awesome BMW service manager, we were going to meet for dinner to trade cars with him. The party we were at was in Cypress so Stephen and I made our way out to my parents house to hang out for a while until Stephen got off work.
Stephen was so excited to see Gran E, Papa G, and Mamaw! We played for a while inside and then went outside to ride the rollercoaster my parents bought him.

Here is a video I took:
We met Stephen for dinner at Pappasito's and they had a lady making balloons and she made Stephen this hat.

We had a relaxing day Sunday, which we needed desperately! Stephen went to get us all breakfast and this little boy sat in the window until he got back.

We had a great day just enjoying our time together. We missed Stephen so much while we were gone and it was so great to all be back together and have some quality time just the three of us!
